2013-2014 Year in Review
The Hancock Public Schools Foundation (HPSF) recently completed another rewarding year of supporting our
schools and we want to share some of the highlights with you.

Approved more than $97,000 in grant support

More than half of the funds helped purchase computers and
upgraded internet access so that Hancock Public Schools
students remain competitive in today’s world.

The remainder, nearly $40,000, supported programs at all
grade levels and academic areas, including science, math,
reading, industrial arts, music and enrichment activities.
For a complete list of grants awarded, visit the HPSF Web page.

Awarded $16,250 in scholarships to 15 college-bound students

Established online giving


As always, the Foundation’s efforts wouldn’t be possible without the support of the extended community—
alumni, friends, teachers and administrators. All of you help educate and enrich our students’ learning
experience. Thank you.—HPSF Board of Directors

Thank You Notes
Thank you for approving the Yearbook grant request for a new camera! We
ordered it, it came in, and is wonderful! The Hancock Public Schools is extremely
fortunate to have the Foundation to provide things for
the schools and groups that we would not be able to
purchase otherwise.
Thank you again!
Karyn L. Ruohonen-Rudak and the Yearbook staff
Butterfly Project
As part of their science
curriculum, students in
Grades K-4 studied the life
cycle of the Painted Lady
Butterfly from pupation to
adulthood.
