The answer is: It is sent directly from our own weather - recording instruments on the school roof (see photo >). Students studying art in Key Stage 4 are being given the fantastic opportunity to learn more about their subject from a professional artist Angela Connors, who is seen here working with them and sharing her skills and knowledge during morning lessons on Fridays this term. House News Autumn Term: House Celebration Assemblies Monday, December 13th is the day for each House to celebrate the successes of their students this term, in a special awards assembly. Over 4000 awards have been won altogether with the number achieved by each House as follows: Discovery: 900 Earth: 881 Elements: 786 Odyssey: 848 Safari: 796 Well done to every award winner! A list of the top achievers in each House will be published in the New Year edition of the newsletter in January. The Performing Arts departments are joining with students for a lunchtime celebration of Christmas with traditional and modern carols and songs taking place in the Drama Studio at 1.15pm Drinks 5p Mince Pies 10p All money raised will be donated to charity IMPORTANT IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR YEAR 9 STUDENTS – OPTIONS ADVICE As part of the Year 9 Options process, Connexions have offered 15 minute interview times for any Year 9 student who would like an opportunity to discuss future career paths, entry requirements and how the options they choose could affect their career choices at 16. Any Year 9 student who would like an interview to be arranged for them should come and see Mrs J. Price, if possible before next Friday. Reminder for Year 11 Students: English Language Exams (OCR) Monday, 10th January (am) and Tuesday, 18th January (pm) Booster sessions: Wednesday, 5th January (1st day back) and Thursday, 6th January after school NOTE TO PARENTS AND CARERS: All pupils involved will be set holiday homework for English.
