Brooklyn Prep had a higher percentage of students in Gen. Ed and Special Ed. who scored 65%
or higher on the Regents in 2015. There was a huge discrepancy between Special Education, at
Brooklyn Prep 59% of Special Ed. students scored 65% or higher, whereas at HS for Ent, Bus &
Tech it was only 40%.
Brooklyn Prep and HS Ent, Bus & Tech both have 73% of males passing at 65% or above.
Brooklyn Prep had 90% females passing, but HS Ent, Bus & Tech has 71%.
Brooklyn Prep had 83% of Non-ELL’s passing and 57% of ELL’s passing with 65% or above. The
HS for Ent, Bus & Tech had only 77% of Non-ELL’s and a measely 31% of ELL’s pass.
Bridging the Gap: Action Plan
-
Focus more on ELL, economically disadvantaged, students with
disabilities.
Put a plan in place to address these demographics, how they will be
supported in school and in the community.
Provide more services for ELL’s and Economically disadvantaged students.
Implement a pull out and push in for struggling students.
Provide intervention programs for students.
Provide time for teachers to collaborate to improve instruction.
