Elementary Dress Code
Pre-K through 7th Grade
The following campuses will implement this uniform policy: Mercedes Early Childhood Center, Ruben
Hinojosa Elementary, W.B. Travis Elementary, Zachary Taylor Elementary, John F. Kennedy Elementary,
North Middle School, and Mercedes Middle School.
Students will wear the following uniform colors for the schools listed below:

Blue Jeans are allowed, but jeans cannot have: cuts, holes, razors, nor be tattered. Students will be
asked to change if any skin is showing or if any means of hiding the skin (legging, shorts, etc.) are
used.
Jeans must be worn around the waist and fit properly (no baggy pants).
