Younkin Family
Angus breeders for lots of years have a strong tradition to concentrate
on the families that make their program strong and pay close attention to
the family history that has built the breed. Successful Angus breeders
also realize that this is a genetics business but it’s a people business first
and are quick to help a breeder and their family in time of need. The Jeff
Younkin Family was forever changed on December 11, 2009 when four
of their children, Cadence (16), Cache (11), Garrett (13) and Cordell (8)
were involved in a serious car accident on their way to school. They were
all injured and very sadly, Garrett died at the scene. Cadence received a
serious head injury and has had surgery and is in intensive care at a Billings,
MT hospital while her brother, Cache broke both legs and is recovering at
the hospital. Cordell scraped up the right side of his face and is fine while
the oldest brother, Chase (18) was not with them during the time of the
accident and is doing his part along with their parents, Jeff and Roubie to
speed their long term recovery.
This fund raiser to assist the Jeff Younkin Family in northern Montana
will sell as an added embryo lot in the 2010 National Western Foundation
Female Sale Embryo Division. Special thanks are due to the generous Angus
