and extremely cost effective. This modern, affordable access control system
is perfect for typically smaller, simpler
jobs. Designed with network capability,
Citadel has the flexibility to control one
or several buildings using a direct, dialup or network connection.
Users set their access control requirements at a host computer that communicates with controllers. These specialized computing devices make decisions
to allow or deny access. Transaction
records are then stored in the controllers’ memory and are communicated
back to the host computer.
Through distributed processing, both
access control decisions and transaction recording are carried out by the
individual controllers.
Citadel will continue to operate fully
during a computer failure, and with an
optional 12V 4Ah backup battery, will
operate during a power failure. When
power is restored, Citadel’s controllers
are fully functional, remembering the
user’s access requirements and recorded transactions.

complete compatibility with Microsoft
Windows 98®, and Windows NT 4®.

Citadel is a PC based, multi-building, access control system, which supports virtually unlimited dial-up
building sites and one direct building site of 32 card readers per site. Citadels software is resident in a host
computer which may share other software programs. Citadel uses DRC2032C dual reader, intelligent
controllers to control access, monitor input points and control output points at it’s sites. Up to 16 DRC2032C
controllers are supported per site. Citadel’s DRC2032C controllers support a 4000 to 6800 user database and
the following features: * 2 Card Readers * 5 Input points * 4 relay Output points * 1 Alarm Output point *
Input to Output point mapping* User defined card numbers * A 4 digit PIN database per cardholder * 64
Time Zones * 32 Holidays * Timed Door control * Delayed door ajar and Temporary activities logging. The
DRC2032C may expand it’s input and output points by installing the IO2000 expander I/O board in it’s
enclosure. This expansion provides an additional 8 input and 8 output points per DRC2032C controller.
Battery backup operation is available using DRC2032CB controllers which provide up to 4 hours of operational battery backup.
