2017 Effigy Contest Rules
Quebec Winter Carnival
ELIGIBILITY
1.
Anyone may participate in the contest except Quebec Winter Carnival employees, board members and executive staff
and immediate family members domiciled with them.
PRIZE
2.
Prize available in the 2017 Effigy contest:

VIP package for four (4) at the 2017 Quebec Winter Carnival, a value of $563
This package includes four (4) tickets for a 2017 Quebec Winter Carnival VIP activity, four (4) Carnival tuques,
four (4) trumpets, four (4) arrow sashes and four (4) fléché-patterned blankets. Definite product selection is at the
discretion of the Quebec Winter Carnival. This prize is non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE

There is one way to participate:


Fill in and submit the 2017 Effigy contest registration form on the “Effigy” page of the Quebec Winter Carnival’s
website (www.carnaval.qc.ca) before January 31, 2017, at 3 p.m. Limited to one entry per email address.
To complete the form, participants must submit their contact information and the contest promo code found on the
back of the cover of the Effigy booklet included with Effigy purchases.
The Quebec Winter Carnival is not responsible to allow contest participation to any person whose registration form is not
received within the prescribed time and in the aforementioned fashion. Participants are fully responsible for all precautions
in this regard.
PRIZE CLAIM

The winner will be drawn among all online registrations on Tuesday, January 31, 2016, at 4 p.m. at the Quebec Winter
Carnival offices. The Quebec Winter Carnival will contact the winner by phone in the days following the draw.
To claim their prize, the winner must come or send a delegate to the Quebec Winter Carnival offices during opening hours
at 205, boulevard des Cèdres, Québec, Québec (Canada) G1L 1N8. The prize must be claimed before February 3, 2017,
at 3 p.m.
GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Prizes won through this contest cannot be transferred, exchanged or redeemed for cash and must be accepted as
awarded. No purchase necessary.
6.
Winner and their guest(s) release the contest organizers and sponsors (along with their franchises, parent and affiliated
companies, employees, agents and representatives) from all responsibility regarding any damages the winner and their
guest(s) may incur from accepting or using their prize. The winner of the draw must sign a declaration and waiver of
liability form in order to become the official recipient of the prize.
7.
Participants authorize contest organizers and their agents to use the participants’ name, photo, image, place of residence,
voice and/or statements regarding the prize in marketing and promotional activities, without pay.
8.
Any winner aged less than 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult (age 18 or older) to claim their prize.
9.
Any dispute regarding the organization or conduct of a promotional contest may be submitted to the la Régie des alcools,
des courses et des jeux in order to obtain a ruling on the matter. A dispute regarding the awarding of a prize may be
submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of an intervention to resolve it.
