Tree Nutri Product Application For Distressed Trees without Obstructions 1. Establish a circle around the tree that closely resembles the tree’s drip line (the middle circle in Fig. 1). 2. After the drip line circle has been identified, use the Tree Nutri™ Hydrojet to “drill” one hole every 1.5-2.0 feet on the circumference of the circle. a. Each hole should be 8-10 inches deep, with the diameter being roughly 1 inch. 3. Once the holes have been drilled, apply 2 ounces of Tree Nutri to each hole via the Tree Nutri™ Funnel. 4. After filling all holes in the drip line circle, repeat steps 2 through 3 for a circle 1.5 feet outside of the drip line circle. a. Each hole should optimally be offset by about 1.5 feet from the holes in the drip line circle. 5. Proceed to follow steps 2 through 3 for a circle 1.5 feet inside the drip line circle. The following table shows the number of holes that would need to be drilled for a tree with a drip line 10 feet from the trunk (as illustrated in Fig. 1): Holes Tree Nutri Outside Circle Drip Line Circle Inside Circle 36 31 27 4.500 lbs 3.875 lbs 3.375 lbs Total 94 11.750 lbs For Trees in Severe Distress without Obstructions If the tree is in severe distress, it is recommended to drill one to two more circles within the inner most circle, following steps 2 through 3 as above. Most active tree roots are found within 1.5 feet inward and outward of the drip line. To maximize effectiveness, Tree Nutri needs to be applied near as many active root tips as possible in this range to stimulate accelerated mitosis. The additional treatment holes are usually deemed necessary when trees are in severe distress, as it is likely the tree’s root tips have receded well inside the drip line. 877.365.TREE (8733) | [email protected] | www.TreeNutri.com
