I am a part-time student at UFV, where I sit on the Indigenization Committee of the Senate. I am working towards completing my Bachelors Degree in General Studies with a focus on Indigenous Studies, Halq’emeylem Language, Criminology and Business Administration. I was the Administrative Assistant at Shxw’owhamel First Nation since 2014. Previous to that I worked for Sts’ailes as a Receptionist, Maintenance Worker, Store Clerk; and for 5 years I have been a member of the Volunteer Fire Department. I have also worked for Corrections Service Canada as a Works and Maintenance Supervisor. VIEW MORE HERE FRASER ATHLETE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM This is a high-performance camp that will train and prepare young athletes to overcome physical and mental obstacles to reach their goals. Athletes will train twice a week from April until June in Strength & Conditioning, Gymnastics, and Sprinting under the tutelage of experience NCCP certified coaches. We will be running one program in the Langley area and one in the Seabird Island/Chilliwack area to accommodate athletes living across the Fraser Region. This program is ideal for Team BC athletes who will be heading to the North American Indigenous Games in July, but we also welcome athletes of all skill levels and disciplines. The new rooms alleviate some of the stress and anxiety associated with clinical healthcare environments. Physicians and/or a Nurse Practitioner are available at the following days and times: Youth Health Centre: Tuesdays from 2 – 5 p.m. for all young people aged 12-26. No appointment necessary. Services are free and open to anyone, regardless of whether they are Aboriginal or not. Primary Health Clinics: Monday to Thursday with Physicians onsite half days Monday through Thursday and a full-time Nurse Practitioner Wednesday and Thursday.
