Join us at the OCL and learn the life-saving skills of CPR. Techniques for CPR on infants, children and adults will be taught. ALL PROGRAMS WILL BE HELD AT THE MAIN LIBRARY ADULTS How Does Your Garden Grow In an effort to promote healthy lifestyles and encourage literacy in our community, the Orangeburg County Library and the Clemson University Extension Service will offer gardening programs on the first Tuesday of each month. Master Gardeners will present a program that includes presentations, demonstrations, and a question-and-answer session. They will also highlight a plant of the month and give away a plant prize! Participants will receive handouts from Clemson University’s Home and Garden Information Center as well as a month gardening to-do list. “Community Baby Shower!” Saturday, June 6th 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Attention moms-to-be! Come to the OCL as we host, in partnership with Well Care of South Carolina, a baby shower for all pregnant community members and new mothers. Do you know that you can study for it on the OCL’s website? Select the “Resources” tab at the top of our home page, click on the word “Automotive” and you can read and study the S.C. He has worked in the Reference Section of the Orangeburg County Library for the last fifteen years. Keith has wide and varied duties, which include working with the public in our computer lab and answering your questions at the Reference Desk. Mr. Byers also works with interlibrary loan materials and transfers. If you have requested any special materials, you can be sure that Keith has had a hand in the process! Keith’s parents, Ted and Gladys Byers enjoyed visiting the library and were happy when Keith joined the staff at the OCL. In his spare time, Keith enjoys reading (of course!), working in his yard and watching television. Mr. Byers holds an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from South Carolina State University. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Education (mathematics) from SC State. Keith also attended Erskine, where he received a Master’s Degree in Divinity, and the University of South Carolina where he received a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Sciences.
