Cinder blocks – 16” X 8” blocks (reusable and returnable) Home Depot or
Wal-Mart (returnable)
Scalloped lawn edgers (5 or 6 humps on one side, straight on the other, 24
inches long). Try not to purchase the 16 inch bricks. Home Depot or
landscaping business.
Cap blocks – 8” deep x 4” thick, 1ft- 1½ ft high – Hint: half the thickness of
a cinder block (reusable and returnable) Home Depot or Wal-Mart
Wood spacers – 3/4” x 3/4” x 4” long (Hint: 1” x 4” x 10 ft. works well for
this. Ten foot strips can be easily cut into 3/4” pieces.) Please have these
cut before arrival. Home Depot/ Lowe’sNew wooden baseball bats – 34” length (Louisville Slugger recommended)
Call Leitchfield Bat Co. @ 1-800-635-3098 or 270-259-5510 ask for
Jerry or Mark. The cost is $10 per bat. Please order two weeks prior
to crusade. “Add 1 bat for every school”
Hot Water Bottles – Call the office to place your order. $9 per bottle
(including shipping) orders must be placed 10 business days before your
crusade.
3 pairs of goggles to protect eyes from water bottle. –Wal-Mart
Large telephone books (2’ or 3’ thick only) Call a big city phone
company. “Add one extra for every school”
Aluminum Frying pans – Chef Mate or Regal Brand, 12” diameter at
Target or Wal-Mart $12 each.
License plates from a local junk yard/salvage yard.
12 packs of Diet 7-UP or Diet Sprite in cans (Wal-Mart)
Steel bars – HOT ROLL (charcoal or gray in appearance; 1/2” diameter by
5’ long; not shiny, not rebar) call local welding shop (helpful Hint found
@ the bottom of this page) “Add one extra for every school”

Dozen medium size hand towels (1 1/2’ or 2’ in length) Wal-Mart (this
item is used on top of brick breaks)
Rolls of Duct Tape Home Depot or Wal-Mart
1/2” or 3/4” thick particle or wafer boards, get enough to cover entire stage
area, edges taped together with duct tape (Stage should be decked out
after Sunday AM Service) Home Depot –
1” x 12” x 10’ white pine boards cut into 9” pieces (make 24-26 pieces)

Telephone Pole – 10-12 ft. long, 12” – 15” diameter, 300 to 350lbs
(difficult for an average adult to wrap their arms around) Can be

10-12 Stage crew needed for setup, tear down, and trash removal – 10-12 men
needed 1 ½ hours before and 1 hour after.

Pairs of gardener cloth gloves (rubber dots) - Wal-Mart
Cans Coleman Fuel in gallon tin cans Wal-Mart
Fire axes (regular, full-length 8 lb. each) These axes have a pick ax on one
side and a regular ax on the other side of the handle. Ask local fire
department if you can borrow they are not damaged in any way or
purchase at Home Depot. Keep receipt and return. We do not damage
axes.
Sharpie markers for autographs Wal-Mart
Black ink pens for information cards for follow-up
Helpful hint for steel bars:
Get on the internet and Google steel companies in your zip code.
When the list comes up please call and get the best price. Ask them to be
a sponsor and give the steel to you @ cost or as a donation. Make sure
that it is HOT ROLLED steel.
