If you are using a gps tracking device and don't want to go extra turn around at 4 miles or 6 miles depending on what distance you are running. 1. Pick up the trail heading north on the east side of the park. 2. The trail takes a button hook turn at F Drive North, follows Wattles Road going south for less than a tenth of a mile, and then crosses Wattles Road. 3.The trail picks up on the other side of Michigan Avenue at approximately 2.8 miles at the McDonalds. 4. The trail will go around the outside of the parking lot of Ott Preserve about a quarter of a mile later. There will be a single track trail that veers off to the left. Stay on the wide trail to the right. 5. Eight milers will turn around at the 4 mile mark near the big retaining wall tunnel. 6. 9-milers will need to pay attention to their GPS devices or watch times to find the 4.5 mile turn-around point on the trail. 7. When you arrive at the Jameson Street parking lot run west on Jameson Street one block to Hillard Street. Turn left on Hillard Street. Run two blocks and then turn right on Westbrook Ave. Run one block and enter the trail again to the left at Powell Street. 8. 12-milers will turn around at the Verona Road parking lot and head back to Bridge Park.
