Reading systems
Reading systems help highly visually impaired or blind people to read text individually
and independently. The systems convert text to speech and read them out with a clear
voice. Volume and speed of the voice can be adjusted individually.
Reading systems capture printed text with a scanner and digitise it by using a text to
speech e.g. OCR-function*. Large buttons in different shapes help the user to operate
the system with ease. Most reading systems are designed for the mobile use. Some
systems are equipped with a low vision function.

VOXbox
VOXbox is a modular and multifunctional reading system with a compact, userfriendly design and an intuitive operation concept.
By pushing a single button documents are captured easily by the powerful external
scanner within a few seconds. The scanner is not linked to the system and can be
placed anywhere. Then texts are read out by a clear and natural sounding voice.
Reading speed and sound volume can be adjusted individually.
VOXbox is designed as a lightweighted, practical bag. Therefore it can be transported
ergonomically and is immediately ready to start.
If required the reading system can be expanded with a battery or a low vision
module. Connecting VOXbox to a monitor makes it to a combined reading and magnifying system.

VOXviva
VOXviva combines a reading system with a video magnifier in a small camera that can
be connected to a PC or a laptop.
In camera mode the user sees the life image of the camera and can use the mouse
navigation without having to move the original. In documents mode VOXviva reads
out loudly documents. At the same time the user can view them in a magnified mode
and in the required colour combination on the monitor.
Choose from six different display modes e.g. the overview mode, representing the
scanned document in your favourite colour combination. Choose between different
display modes e.g. line by line or one word per line.
Operation is simple via your notebook- or PC keyboard or via a separate control
unit. With the computer mouse images can be moved and magnified on the screen.
