and in case of an accident, take care of them in the best possible way.
Often it is only a matter of seconds before permanent injuries arises. To get to get to a first-aid
emergency shower and try to flush away the aggressive chemical with water could take far too long
time. In addition, water has a limited ability to dilute the chemical and is also missing neutralizing
properties which requires continuous treatment under a long period of time in order to reach the
wanted effect. During this time, the attack of the chemical continues.
Diphoterine®
Diphoterine® is a unique first-aid rinsing solution that in a fast and efficient way neutralizes both
strong acids and alkalis such as hydrochloric acid, sulphuric acid, ammonia and sodium hydroxide.
Diphoterine® is also proven effective against solvents, oxidizers, chelating agents and has been
tested positively against over 1.000 chemicals. Diphoterine® can be used all over the body, in the
eyes, in the oral cavity and in the ear canal. Shelf-life 2 years. It is a CE classed medical device
that is an approved replacement to the emergency eye- and body showers according to the
European standard EN15154-3/4. It´s properties are scientifically and practically confirmed in the
Swedish Work Environment Authority‘s report 2010:6.
SIEW
SIEW is a portable eyewash containing 50ml of Diphoterine®. It is intended for
immediate first-aid treatment and neutralization of one eye beginning within 10
seconds after the chemical splash. Could be complemented with an external leather
holster with clips for waist belt mounting.
Bottle / Bag
Diphoterine ® is also available in a 500ml bottle or bag with clamp and eyecup that is
intended for first-aid treatment and neutralization of one eye beginning within 60
seconds after the chemical splash. For hospitals we recommend using the 500ml Bag.
Mini and Micro
Mini (200ml) and Micro (100ml) are spray bottles containing Diphoterine ®. They are
intended for first-aid treatment and neutralization of minor body parts (ex. face or arm)
beginning within 60 seconds after the chemical splash. Could be complemented with
fixtures for wall mounting.
Diphoterine® Rinsing station
The wall-mounted rinsing station holds two 500ml bottles of Diphoterine® for eye
treatment, and one 200ml Diphoterine® Mini spray bottle for decontaminating minor
splashes on the skin (ex. face or arm). It also works as a complementary first-aid
station in addition to the portable units listed above. The box in the picture is open.
DAP
DAP is a portable first-aid shower containing 5 L of Diphoterine®. It is intended for
treating and neutralizing major chemical splashes all over the body. Treatment
should be initialized within 60 seconds after an accident. Use the whole content at
once.
