VYNOVA ANNOUNCES START OF CONSTRUCTION FOR KOH PRODUCTION FACILITY AT TESSENDERLO
Following its August 2015 announcement, VYNOVA Group, an affiliate of the ICIG group of companies,
confirms it has started with the field construction of the new world scale KOH membrane facility at its
Tessenderlo Belgium site.
With the final awarding of the EPC contract to thyssenkrupp Uhde Chlorine Engineers, the project is fully
on schedule for an early 2018 completion with uninterrupted supply of KOH ensured for its customers.
This investment in a new state of the art membrane electrolysis facility, which will replace the existing
mercury cellroom, reconfirms VYNOVA’s commitment to the KOH market.
Through this conversion, and with the consolidation between the ICIG affiliates VYNOVA Belgium and
Potasse et Produits Chimiques SAS (PPC) in France, ICIG will become the leading membrane producer of
KOH in Europe with a unique potassium derivative product range.
