Meet with a Certified Personal Trainer to develop an
individualized exercise plan.
YOGA OR PILATES PERSONAL TRAINING
A certified Yoga/Pilates instructor will develop a
personalized Yoga or Pilates routine. Technique and
form will be addressed while executing moves.

You and a friend work together with a certified personal
trainer to develop an exercise plan to meet your fitness

Erica Wasserman
Head Personal Trainer
Our personal trainers request 24 hours notice if you must
cancel your appointment. Appointments cancelled with less
than 24 hours notice may be forfeited at the discretion of the
Wellness Director. All personal training sessions are
nonrefundable and expire twelve months after date of
purchase.
Please sign up in the Business Office for Personal Training
and you will be contacted by Erica Wasserman, Head Personal
Trainer, to schedule an appointment.
Erica is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and TRX Suspension
Training Certified. She also holds a certification in YUSA Foundations
of Group Exercise. She has been with the YMCA since 2009 and
holds a degree in Exercise Science from Loras College in Dubuque,
Iowa. Erica specializes in wellness coaching, beginner fitness,
functional fitness, strength training and TRX. She loves to work with
beginner exercisers to help them understand the lifelong benefits of
exercise and living a healthy lifestyle.

PERSONAL TRAINERS
Corey Barksdale
Corey is an Action Certified Personal Training and has
studied at Northeastern Illinois University. Corey is a former
collegiate wrestler and has experience as a Varsity Wrestling
Coach. Corey specializes in general fitness, weight loss and strength
and conditioning. Corey believes that living a healthier lifestyle is a
choice and that you should feel strong and have a sense of
accomplishment when your workout is done. He believes in order to
meet your fitness goals, you need consistency, focus and a positive
mindset. Corey enjoys spending time with family and friends,
exercising, cooking and making homemade laundry detergent and
cleaning solutions.
Franklin Onwubuariri
Franklin is a certified personal trainer through the National
Strength and Conditioning Association. He also holds
certifications in Spinning, TRX Suspension Training, and
Zumba Fitness. Franklin has over 14 years of Personal Training
experience and can work with anyone from the skilled athlete to
Active Older Adults. His hobbies include running and soccer. Franklin
is available to train Wednesdays and Fridays and other days by
appointment only.
Luis Reppert
Candace Clark
Candace is enrolled in UWM Nutritional science
programs as well as an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, TRX Suspension
Training Certified, and certified as a Nutritional Consultant. She
specializes in weight loss and building strength as well as providing
nutritional counseling. Candace has lots of experience in pre and post
natal clients and special needs clients. She believes fitness should be fun
and fulfilling. She wants her clients to be proud of what they have
accomplished in their time with her.
Karen Farra
Karen is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer who
is also an experienced Medical Assistant and
has studied at Eastern Illinois University, UWMilwaukee, and WCTC. She specializes in wellness
coaching, strength/balance fitness, HIIT training
and healthy whole food choices. It is Karen’s belief
that no one should be defined by their age, and is motivated to help
you navigate the road to your personal fitness goals. Karen enjoys
staying fit for fun outdoor adventures and travel. She enjoys rock
climbing, kayaking, camping and gourmet cooking.
Diane Geithman
Diane has a B.S. in Kinesiology and a Nutrition Certificate from UWM.
She is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and is certified through AHLI
as a Wellness Coach. She specializes in wellness coaching, weight
loss, strength and functional training, and active older adults. She
has education and experience in working with people who have
limited mobility. Diane enjoys biking, kayaking, swim dancing, sailing,
and adventure. She believes that while working toward your fitness
goals; it’s important to establish a solid base of good health habits in
the various components of physical fitness.
Luis has a B.S. in Exercise Science from Carroll University
and is a Certified Personal Trainer through NSCA. Luis
believes that it’s his job to help you achieve a well-rounded healthy
life through a customized and evidence based program designed to
achieve your goals. Luis specializes in weight loss, general fitness,
sport specific training, interval training, post orthopedic rehab/injury
prevention and gait/balance analysis. He enjoys working with people
of all fitness levels and helping them reach their specific goals.
Ben Schattschneider
Ben studied Sports Medicine at Ripon College and is an ACE Certified
Personal Trainer. He specializes in strength and conditioning,
balance/posture, speed/agility, Triathlon/Duathlon and HIIT
training. He has worked with people of all ages and fitness levels
from children to active older adults to competitive athletes. Ben
loves teaching his clients how to live an active healthy lifestyle both
in and outside of the gym.
Peter Stoll
Peter has a B.A. in Business & Administration and
his M.B.A. He is an AFAA Certified Personal Trainer,
and an AFAA Certified Group Exercise Instructor.
Peter has worked with Division 1 Athletes as well
as the severely disabled. He specializes in improving
cardiovascular and muscular endurance,
flexibility, and ongoing therapy from sports injuries or
neuromuscular disorders. He enjoys to play golf, racquetball, and
many different outdoor activities. Peter believes that his clients’
goals are his goals and that no two clients are the same.
