What is Awake My Soul?

Awake My Soul is our yearly student ministry conference for 6 -12 graders. It is a great opportunity for the
youth in our community to come together, deepen their faith, and worship God at a whole new level.
Get ready to have a blast at Awake My Soul. We will have high-energy worship, relevant teachings, and
exciting games!
What is the Theme?
The theme for this year’s conference is “Revive us Again.” In the last year our student ministries across all
of our campuses have seen God do incredible things in the hearts and lives of our young people.
This year at Awake My Soul, all of our existing campuses are coming together for a weekend of prayer,
worship, fellowship, and teaching centered upon seeking God to bring revival to the youth in our
communities.
Who will be speaking?
Cody Whittington, Justin Abercrombie, Dustin Phillips, & Dallas Wilson.
The Vision
In order for a true awakening of the soul to take place, we must have a true faith in Christ. What helps
strengthen this faith is being able to point to evidences that point to Jesus as Lord and Savior. Our desire
is to see students go from death to life by meeting Jesus and then to live like Jesus by the power of the Holy
Spirit.

The full $25 will be due not later than Wednesday February 1 . A deposit of $10 anytime before then will
secure the students spot. We only have a limited number of spots, so it is first come first serve.

Expectations
Punctuality
It is absolutely mandatory that all students and volunteers be on time in all areas of Awake My Soul. We are on a very tight schedule
that does not allow for much delay. Please respect the time that we are given.
Dress Code
Leaders and students are all expected to dress appropriately for these events. There will be a lot of energetic movement so please dress
accordingly. If the leadership team feels that your attire is not appropriate you will be asked to change.
Energetic
This will be highly energetic conference and this tone will be set and sustained by those who are leading, volunteering, and serving
at Awake My Soul. The expectation is that leaders will worship energetically with the students, encourage students to engage in
worship and prayer, be excited about what is happening. If you are not looking “silly” at any point during the conference, you are
probably not energetic enough.
Behavior
The nature of a high-energy conference will also lead to highly energetic students. This can be a positive and a negative. We want
all students to have a blast all weekend, but we must maintain appropriate behavior. The leadership team will not tolerate
disruptive or distracting behavior.
Communication
There will be a lot happening during the Awake My Soul conference. It is important that leaders are consistent in communication.
Communication will either make or break this conference. If there are any questions from a parent or student that you feel
unqualified to answer, please reach out to Cody or Christie Whittington, Casey Rhodes, or Justin Abercrombie.
Schedule
Every part of the schedule has a purpose. It will be tempting to deviate from the schedule especially during “group time” at the homes.
Please refrain and follow the schedule and content provided. There will be ample down time for you and your students to hang out, just
relax, and talk, but not at the expense of the Awake My Soul schedule.
Obedience
All students are expected to be obedient to group leaders, home hosts, and the leadership team. Any reports of disobedience
disrespect will be immediately addressed.
