easier than with OpenText Blazon. Blazon ensures that
your original documents are transformed into perfect
renditions every time.
Blazon is a rendition engine that can take files in virtually any format and create accurate
PDF, TIFF, or secure Content Sealed Format (CSF) renditions. Blazon can also transform
3D models, publishing them as STL, ISF, or compressed 3DF. Blazon automates timeconsuming manual processes, reduces document transformation costs, strengthens
control and compliance, and improves content accessibility.

Support Control and Compliance
Add stamps, watermarks, and banners to ensure adherence to regulatory or internal
mandates. Watermarks and banners can include metadata—such as the document ID
or type—from the ECM or other lead application, system information—such as the username or date and time—or static text strings—such as CONFIDENTIAL or DRAFT.
Need to control what recipients can do with the content or how long they can view it?
Secure CSF allows you to add password protection, an expiration date (time bomb),
printing and republishing restrictions, and more. Because CSF is a proprietary format,
there are no third-party editors that can modify content or circumvent security settings.
CSF files can be viewed in the free OpenText™ Brava!™ Reader so they can be easily
shared with outside collaborators.

Add Document Transformation
to Any Workflow
Blazon can be used immediately with zero programming resources.
With a reputation for being incredibly easy to implement, Blazon
can be put to work instantly monitoring a folder or library for new
documents to process. As a new file is added, Blazon can convert
the file and apply the predefined publishing criteria (a watermark,
banners, etc.), saving both the original and published copies into
the appropriate library or folder.
If a more robust implementation is needed, Blazon can be added
to any workflow, from simple to very complex, using its comprehensive API. Blazon is highly scalable and can be deployed at any
level, from the department to the data center. Its flexible architecture
allows it to scale up and handle large loads.
Deliver Content How and Where It’s Needed
Converting documents to a neutral format, such as PDF or TIFF,
can make them easier for all workers to access and ensure
they are in a standard format that will be supported for years to
come. Blazon also allows you to share collaboration notes and
annotations with outside parties by burning in markups and
Changemark™ comments created in Brava! in the newly created
rendition (Changemark comments are converted to Adobe®
Acrobat® comments in PDFs). This also makes it easy to archive
the conversation as part of an audit trail or to include it with a final
project transmittal to the customer.
You can also merge all your project documents—even CAD
drawings—into a single, neutral-format document or transmittal
with a table of contents. You even have the flexibility to manually
control table of contents entries. Blazon Enterprise has the ability
to rotate, split, merge, and mirror TIFF files, allowing you to submit
jobs to the system as desired. You can rotate a scanned image,
merge two or more TIFF files, split large files into smaller ones, or
mirror images.
Blazon Integration
Blazon is available in seamless, out-of-the-box integrations
to leading ECM systems including: OpenText™ Content Suite,
Microsoft® SharePoint®, and IBM® FileNet® or Content Navigator.
Blazon can also be integrated with Dell EMC ® Documentum ®
Webtop and D2.
