Today is Monday 22 Dec. .... We leave Israel in a week.... hard to believe! It
seems from here as if time has flown .... where did it go to?
Christmas is upon us this week.... I am sure our faithful email ladies will be
having time off, so you might get some of these later.
There is too much to tell you in these little updates. I will try to fill you in as much
as I can. The rest will have to wait for when we see you!
I decided that instead of going into great detail I would let some pictures do the
talking this time.
The first 6 pictures are graffiti and murals that I found interesting and some
especially evocative. ..
The pictures of the crying eyes are so telling of much that we have seen during
our stay here.
Many young people are walking around in what appears to me to be a state of
real distress. Young teenagers seem to have permanent frowns etched on their
foreheads.
Every day people get up and go about their daily business never knowing what
might come into their path.
Older folk often seem to be heavy-burdened and their faces drawn and weary.
The mural that shows the soldiers and the poppy kept my attention for a long
time, so much in it. These young people come out of high school, sometimes
have a year's break, and then go in to the defence force.
The next pictures show some of the places where we have prayed and declared
the prophetic word of God. Especially important is Castel. This will be the first set
of these pictures. Castel is a fort and more on a hill west of Mevaseret-Zion.
It was used during the war of 1948 where the defence force opened up the
highway between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem in order to bring in essential supplies
and food to the army who were cut off. Today a person can walk through
communication tunnels and see in the fort as well as view pictures of the
'Sandwich' - a special armoured car built on the chassis of a truck using a layer
each of steel with wood between. With this the army forced their way through
successfully.
I just felt the Lord saying while we were up there praying that in the same way
that the physical army fought it's way through to bring food and war supplies to
the Jerusalem so should we fight against the enemy in order to bring spiritual
food and the weapons of spiritual warfare to the believers who are in Israel that
are encamped about by enemies - they should never be left without support.
There is also need for spiritual truth for those not yet in the Kingdom.
We also went to Canada Park where we were blessed to be able to pray and
declare the Word......
How good and faithful is our God!
Anyway.... I will write again tomorrow.....
Good night!
Love to all...
Malcyn
