with TeachBeyond walks with new missionaries and coaches them as they go
through the process of leaving and prepares them to succeed as educators on the
mission field, Conda DeVries with CRU (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ),
and Fellowship of Christian Athletes uses athletics to impact the world for Jesus
Christ.
 “We would like to thank our church family for the many prayers offered up on
behalf of Justine and myself. My back is completely healed and I am back to my
busy self. Justine continues to heal but it is a slow process. Physical therapy is
painful but beneficial. Continued prayers for her healing are greatly appreciated.”

 We extend our sympathy to Maxine Bischke on the death of her brother, Jim
Bentley of Tuscan AZ. Jim passed away Monday, March 6th. May his family find
comfort in the Lord’s arms and receive His peace.
Announcements and News within Our Church
 ATTENTION! Meeting Today: We will have a special meeting following the
church service for those of you who were not able to attend our dessert luncheons.
This is to explain what the Implementation Team has developed with Brown
Construction on the proposed addition to our church. Please help yourself to coffee
and then come back into the sanctuary to see the presentation.
 Pictures: Date has changed to Next Sunday March 19th Those who are taking
pictures, please meet Patsy Iedema in the front of the church immediately following
the service. We need your picture on our picture wall in the fellowship hall! 
 Prison Visit: There is a prison visit scheduled for April 11th, if you are interested in
attending there is a sign-up sheet in the Fellowship Hall or contact Rich & Mary Lou
Ringling, for more information.
 The Hospitality and Outreach Team will be sending care packages to the overseas
military people and our college students. We can use your help in supplying items to
send them or money to cover shipping costs. They really like home-made cookies so
we can use lots of them. It would be helpful if you wrapped 2 or 3 cookies or bars
together in plastic wrap as they ship best that way. They also appreciate candy,
microwave popcorn, pens, pencils, highlighters, granola bars, hot chocolate packets,
etc. We will be sending these care packages on March 27th. Parents, please check
your students address to make sure it is correct.
 Lent Sketches: During Lent, three high school students are drawing pictures that
high-light our weekly “Hands of Jesus” theme. We extend our appreciation to
Martin DeKam, Meghan Mount, and MaKenzie Oberbroekling for providing each
drawing in our series. Thank you to Martin DeKam for today’s drawing!
 The Leadership Summit is August 10-11th, if you are interested in attending you
can purchase a ticket for $189, the church will pay $100 towards your ticket. You
can register at www.willowcreek.com/events/leadership and choose your location,
either DWU in Mitchell or Central Baptist Church in Sioux Falls. If you have any
questions or need help registering contact Lance & Amiee Griese. Thank you!

 A seminar--Gospel Outreach to People of Other Faiths--will be hosted by New
Roots Ministry on Saturday, March 18 from 10AM--2:15PM @ the Community
Room of the Sioux Falls Ministry Center (225 E. 11th St., Sioux Falls, SD
57104) Speakers will include Salom Silwal, formerly a Hindu and now a Christian
pastor, and Aaron Myers of the Crescent Project. Come to learn, to be inspired, and
to enjoy an ethnic meal! There is no cost, but free-will donations can be given. Please

giving a ministry up-date on Living Stone’s activities at the prison and we will hear
from a couple former inmates how God has used the ministry to encourage and
strengthen their Christian journeys.

 Singers needed! For a community choir for the Palm Sunday, April 9, 7:00 PM
Lenten Service at Platte CRC. Starting today, March 5, we will practice each Sunday
evening prior to our community Lenten Services from 6:15-6:45 PM at Platte CRC in
the sanctuary. Please come to join your voices with us!
 DCS K-6th grade students are selling Ymker Greenhouse Gift Cards. The gift cards
may be redeemed at Armour and Platte locations through June 3, 2017. Landscaping
projects will be valid up to $1,000 through November 30, 2017. The gift cards may
be bought in increments of $30 with checks made out to DCS Fellowship. Contact

 “The Valley Male Chorus” of Rock Valley, Iowa, consisting of 30 men’s voices will
be presenting a sacred music concert on Monday evening, March 27, 2017 at Platte
Christian Reformed Church beginning at 7 PM.
 Mark your calendars for Dakota Christian's Got Talent coming up on Tuesday,
March 14 at 7:00pm. This fun-filled evening includes sacred, pop, and comical
musical numbers by our students, staff, and alumni; a BBQ Pork sandwich meal and
snacks for purchase before and during the show; Dakota Jubilee under the direction
of Steve Bamberg, and guest conducting and trumpet performance by Ron
Stoneback. It's a night you won't want to miss! Admission is free! Proceeds from
the food will benefit the D.C. music department.
 Dakota Christian Festival of Tables Surf & Turf Black Tie Event. Friday March
24th, 6:30pm. Dinner is a New York Strip, a skewer of Jumbo Shrimp, baked potato,
and salad bar. Tickets are $50ea. or a table of 8 for $350. Proceeds from the dessert
auction will be for wifi access points to be installed this summer. To be a hostess,

 The Platte Senior High Youth Group has sent a thank-you to our church. It is on the
pillar in the fellowship hall.
 The Tri-County Right to Life will meet on Monday, March 13 at Dakota Christian
School at 7:00PM All those interested in fighting for the rights of the unborn are
invited to attend.
