The auditions may involve reading excerpts from the play, performing some improvisation, and/or
interacting with other audition candidates.
Everyone who would like to audition for the principal roles of Charles, Ruth, Elvira and Madame
Arcati should prepare a 2-minute monologue, to be performed at the audition. Please select your
own 2-minute monologue and bring it with you to the audition – these monologues will not be
provided by The Semi-Circle.

original script, and may be adjusted by the Director during the casting process:
