1. How do I obtain the information needed to register for a Tuition Express
account for PLACE?
You will need two pieces of information to setup your Tuition Express Account.
a) Tuition Express ID Code - This is obtained from the Site Manager at the PLACE site
your child(ren) attend. This is an account unique code.
b) 4 Digit Registration Code – The number is 9270
When you have obtained the information listed above:
a) Open a web browser (IE, Firefox, Google Chrome, and Safari) and type in
https://www.tuitionexpress.com.
b) Click the Register Here link (left side) to set up your account:

Enter the Tuition Express ID number given to you by your PLACE Site Manger.
Enter your Registration Code: 9270
Select a Username and Password. Then Confirm the Password and click Register.
Follow the on screen instructions to complete the process.
2. When I pay online through Tuition Express when will the payment show up on
my PLACE account?
Payment batches are run after 6:00PM EST. At that time the credit cards are processed. All successfully cleared
payments made prior to 6:00PM EST will post to your PLACE account that day. Payments made after 6:00PM
EST will not post until the next business day.
(Example: If a payment is made on Friday at 6:01 PM EST, that payment will not be processed until Monday’s
6:00PM EST batch).
3. When I pay my tuition through Tuition Express, how secure is my account
information?
Very secure – more secure than when you write checks. The checks you write every day have your name,
address, phone number, and sometimes your driver’s license number on them. With this information,
criminals have all they need to access your account or worse, steal your identity. Online payments
through Tuition Express greatly reduce this potential problem by limiting the amount of information
available and who has access to it. Tuition Express also incorporates additional security procedures,
utilizing 128-bit encryption.
4. Does PLACE have access to my Tuition Express account or bank information?
No one at PLACE has access to your bank (or credit card) account. When you sign up for Tuition Express,
you only authorize your credit card company to release the exact amount owed to PLACE when it is due
and payable.
5. Can Debit Cards be used with Tuition Express?
Yes, debit cards with a Visa or MasterCard logo can be used. Since there is no PIN entry system debit cards will
be treated like credit cards.
6. What if I forgot my username or password?
Due to security reasons, neither PLACE nor Tuition Express has access to your existing username and
password. If you can't remember either your username or password, you will have to re-register.
a. You will need your Tuition Express ID number issued to you by PLACE along with the (4)
digit security code.
b. Create a new username and password, checkmark the "Terms and Conditions" box and
click on the "Register" button.
c. You will be notified that an account already exists for your Tuition Express ID number.
Simply re-type the new username and password and click on the "Register" button again
to complete re-registration.
d. You have now successfully changed your username and password and can now log in.
7. I never received my verification email to validate my email address, why?
Make sure you're using a valid email address and that it is typed in correctly. Make sure your email
software isn't filtering the Tuition Express email (check your Bulk, Junk, or Trash folders). If you see it in
one of those folders, you must remove the filter/add an exception to the filter to allow it to go directly to
your Inbox (see your email software FAQ's to adjust it's mail/spam filtering). If you are using a work email
address, your company's technology department may be filtering the email. Discuss it further with your
IT department or change your email address to a private email address
8. Why am I not receiving my receipts via email after validating my email address?
Sign in to your tuitionexpress.com account, in the "Profile" screen you must check the box "Receive
Notification" and click on the "Update" button. Confirm that the email address is still a valid email address.
9. How do I change the email address that my receipts go to?
Log in to your tuitionexpress.com account and click on "Profile", then click the "Change" button. Enter the
new email address and click "Update". You will have to click on the "Re-verify" button to receive the
verification email. Click on the link in the verification email to complete the change.
