Terra Firma Recycling is located In Trinidad, CO, near the City of Trinidad Landfill. We accept recyclables Monday
through Friday 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., Saturday 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. We are closed on Sunday. We appreciate
your interest in our operation. For us to be as efficient as possible and to better serve our community, we are
asking participants to collect the following recyclables: Plastic #l-#7, Paper/Chipboard, Cardboard, and
Household Metals. Also please bring your recyclables CLEAN AND DRY. To assist in the sorting process, we have
indoor bins at our iocation that are marked with signage detailing the acceptable items for each bin. A Terra Firma
employee/volunteer will always be present to assist you with sorting and to ensure the items being recycled are
acceptable. Below is a list of acceptable and unacceptable recyclable items. Please feel free to contact us at 719859-3998, If you have questions.

Plastic- Typically plastic #1 through #7 is recyclable. Please rinse out containers to remove as much residue at possible. No need to discard
plastic lids and caps on plastic bottles. We 0 0 NOT accept plastic pumps.
Cardboard-Although not required, we appreciate flattened cardboard. We also accept paper towel tubes, brown paper bags, and toilet paper
tubes. No waxed lined cardboard such as produce boxes or animal food bags.
Chipboard or Paperboard- This type of material includes: cereal boxes, tissue boxes, cracker boxes, diaper boxes, soda carrier boxes, fruit
snack boxes, oatmeal boxes, and butter boxes.
Newspaper, Inserts, and Magazines-We accept the entire newspaper including inserts and ads. Please discard plastic bags around these
items and items such as CD or magnets
Office Paper-All types of office paper are accepted. All colors of paper are accepted. Don't worry about removing paper clips, staples, tape,
and sticky notes. These accessory items are okay in the mix.
Bulk or Junk Mail-This material is also accepted. Don't worry about removing stamps, sticky notes, or staples
Steel, Aluminum, and Tin Cans- Please make sure any aerosol cans are totally empty. Please make sure to rinse out vegetable and fruit
cans. Please make sure any aluminum foil is cleaned as well.
NOT ACCEPTED
PLASTIC: pumps (as in lotion bottles), bags, clamshell "to go" containers, #7 PLA compostable (looks like plastic but is made from corn), egg
cartons, six-pack ring holders, microwave trays, plates and utensils, syringes and needles, Styrofoam, motor oil bottles, PVC pipe. PAPER:
phonebooks, paperback and hardback books, waxed paper, paper towels, napkins, sanitary napkins, shredded paper, animal food bags.
OTHER: No TYVEK, which is a polyethyiene fiber used to make overnight mailing envelopes. No glass of any type. No batteries, electronics,
hazardous or bio hazardous waste.
