SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
• Americana® acrylic paints: Snow Titanium White, Baby Pink, Lavender, Baby Blue, Hauser Medium Green,
Lemonade, Orange Twist
• Laurie Speltz’s Instant Images items:
Template Tools: Floral Pocket templates, Garden Blooms journal templates
Brushes & Tools: 3/4" Flat, 3/8" Duo Tool, 1/4" Duo Tool
• 9"x91⁄2" Unfinished wood frame
• Painter’s tape
• Old toothbrush or stencil brush
DIRECTIONS:
1. Use flat brush to basecoat entire frame Lemonade.
Using old toothbrush or stencil brush, dilute
Lavender to ink consistency and spatter frame.
Repeat spattering with diluted Hauser
Medium Green.
2. Follow application instructions on Instant Images
Floral Pocket and Garden Blooms Journal Template
package to create a base shape – apply vine from
Pocket Floral Template on frame top with Hauser
Medium Green, repeating across frame.
3. Position decorative edge of Garden Blooms
Template A onto frame bottom. Pounce on Hauser
Medium Green. Let dry. Repeat and pounce Orange
Twist, Lavender and then Baby Pink into area,
allowing to dry between applications.

4. Position words from Garden Blooms C into place
and apply Lavender to words. Reposition “blossom”
lettering and lightly pounce Baby Pink through
middle of lettering with 1/4" duo tool.
5. Position large and small flower shapes from
Floral A. Use photo as a guide to apply color –

leaves and stems are Hauser Medium Green; large
flowers are Baby Blue, Baby Pink and Lavender.
Pounce Lavender on bottom of Baby Blue and Baby
Pink flowers. Add Hauser Medium Green to bottom
of Lavender flower.
6. Add Snow White dots to “blossom” letters. Add
Lavender dots between other words.
7. Use stylus end of 3/8" tool to add dots of Orange
Twist, Snow White and Lavender to vine.
8. Add dot centers of Orange Twist or Lavender to
flowers. Create larger dot with end of 3/4"
flat brush.
9. Small flowers are Baby Pink, Orange Twist or Baby
Blue. Let dry. Add Lavender to bottom of each
shape. Dot centers are Lavender or Orange Twist.
10. Add dots in background with Snow White
and Lavender.
11. Add Orange Twist and Hauser Medium Green
stylus stars. Use stylus and draw doodle star by
starting with dot and moving up, down, side, side,
and down.
