About You We are looking for a General Internal Medicine to share in coverage for ICU, Emergency and inpatient ward consults. Subspecialty interests or certification may be an asset. You are a team player with commitment to collegiality to work with a cohesive group of skilled clinicians. You must hold CPSO license and be certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Practice expectations: • ICU, Wards and ER coverage • Outpatient clinical practice to manage referrals from the community • Active involvement in electronic health records and computer order entry. • On call coverage 1:5 • Cardiodiagnostic interpretation/over read • Remuneration is fee for service with competitive annual income for the specialty. • On-call funding (HOCC) About Us Brockville General Hospital is a tertiary community hospital. Phase II: approved by the MOHLTC in 2011, to include major redevelopment to construct a single site (200 beds) to include acute care mental health, complex continuing care, rehab, palliative care. Construction planned to start 2015. Strong community based family physicians that with excellent relationship with specialty services. Inpatient care by a Hospitalist Program that includes full time and part time physicians. Specialty programs: Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Respirology (5 full-time); General Surgery (4 full time equivalents; 5 surgeons); Urology (2 full-time), Ophthalmology (2 full-time) OB GYN (3 full-time); Anaesthesia (6 full-time); Radiology (3 FTE with support from remote access reading). Modern combined ICU/SDU (total 9 beds) Level III ICU designation. 7 Telemetry Beds, average 850 ICU admissions 84% Medical 16% Surgical ED volumes 26,000 per year with a skilled mix of full and part time physicians.
