Rehearsal Handout

Citrus College Graduates
Please share this announcement
with your guests!
As a courtesy to all graduates, the use
of air horns or any loud device that
prevents others from hearing their
graduate’s name announced is not
permitted at Commencement.
Please remind family members and
guests to be respectful of all graduates
by remaining seated until the end of
the ceremony.
General Information
• THE USE OF AIR HORNS IS NOT PERMITTED! PLEASE RELAY THIS MESSAGE TO

where they will be excused to congregate on the field with family and friends.

guests know that the access gates at both ends of the track/field will be opened, by
campus safety personal, AFTER graduates have been escorted from the ceremony

them to the seating on the track or in the first row of the stands. Note: One person
may sit with the disabled guest on the track.
• Since spring 2017 grades are not posted before graduation, the GPA for Honors
students is calculated based on grades completed through winter 2017. This only
applies to students receiving recognition for graduating “with Honors”, “with High
Honors”, and “with Highest Honors.” This information is confirmed by Peggy
Amundson at the Office of Admissions and Records. If you have any questions,
please contact Peggy Amundson immediately following rehearsal.
• Honors Society Recognition: Graduates who joined and formally completed the
requirements for Alpha Gamma Sigma (AGS), Honors Transfer Program, Phi Theta
Kappa (PTK), and/or Psi Beta will be recognized at the Commencement Ceremony.
During the ceremony Honors Society students will be invited to stand and remain
standing, while all names are called and recognized. If you are not a member of one
of the above organizations, you will not be included in this part of the program.
• You will receive a diploma cover at the ceremony. Official diplomas are not
distributed until grades have been verified and posted on official transcripts.
Diplomas are mailed beginning in September to the address on record at the
Admissions and Records office. If your address has changed, please complete and
submit the Admissions and Records “Student Update Form” online as soon as
possible at: http://www.citruscollege.edu/ar/Documents/Forms/AllItems.aspx
• If your name is unique to pronounce, write the phonetic pronunciation on your
