Chris Roop, Linzie Noble and Cindy Schimel were absent. 1. 3:20 meeting called to order. 2. Approval of October 20, 2009 meeting minutes. Jan Gundlach moved to approve the minutes, Eric Oja seconded the motion, October meeting minutes were approved as they are. 3. Elementary Up-Dates Lincoln: Rene reported that all is going well; Lincoln students are doing the district assessment tests the week of January 19, 2010. West Hills: Jan reported for West Hills, the last two Promethean boards will go up at West Hills very soon. West Hills has 2 sets of the 3rd Grade EnVisions math and they have 2 sets of 5th Grade math. McKay: No rep from McKay. Sherwood: Diana reported that all is going well at Sherwood with the Math Assessments. The Sherwood Parents club is going to purchase 2 Promethean Boards. K-2 has purchased the Envisions Math. Washington: Ken reported that all is going well at Washington. Anne Sokoloski is the only teacher at Washington that has the EnVisions math in her room. 4. SMS Report: Fred reported that they are going to do the second OAKS test for 7 & 8 graders the week of January 18th. They did the first test right before Christmas break. Margie reported that she had several students make great gains with their OAKS scores. 5. PHS Report: The high school is working on a game plan to come up with a “Help Course” for students who are failing geometry for the second semester of the 2009-2010 school year. They have delayed testing students in the resource room and advanced math students, the main focus right now is the middle of the road kids. 6. January In-Service January 29, 2010 will be staff in-service. SMS will have team meetings to be able to work on common assessments. Elementary staff will be working on their report cards. 7. Math CaravanScott reported that he did not feel that there was much to choose from for the 9-12 adoption. 8. Next Meeting will be on Thursday February 25, 2010 in the Board room at the District Office.
