9. GAPS
Mary’s mum promised her something special for her birthday party. Lots of Mary’s friends came and they brought her
presents. Everybody wished her all the best. Mary’s mum brought a birthday cake and Mary blew out nine candles. Then
they heard a doorbell. It was a fairy, who came to the party. The fairy’s name was Diana and she had two suitcases. She
looked very colourful. She asked everybody who they wanted to be and turned them into fantasy people: queens, kings,
knights, and others. Mary wanted to be a princess. A the end of the party Diana took pictures of everybody and her camera
printed photos right away. Then she left. When the party was over Mary asked her mum if Diana was a true fairy. Her mum
said that Diana wasn’t a fairy, but she worked in the film company and she was a make-up artist and a special effect . That
is how she did her magic.

9. GAPS
Harry and Larry had nothing interesting to do, so they went to the museum. There was a new exhibition at the museum,
but there weren’t any people there. A boy got lost in the museum and everybody was scared to come in. But the boys
weren’t afraid and went inside. They found an old gate, opened it and went inside a medieval treasury. They found many
precious things there and the lost boy – Sam. They got trapped because the gate changed into a stone wall and they
couldn’t get out. Then Larry tripped over and a rock moved. There was a silver button under it. Larry pressed the button
and the stone wall changed back into the gate. The boys were very happy and got out. Just then the treasure disappeared
and the gate was just an exhibit. When the reporters came to ask about Sam, Harry and Larry went home. Larry took a huge
diamond from the treasure. That is why everybody will believe the story was true.
