About Bastion
Bastion Infrastructure Group is an
independent global infrastructure
asset manager focused on investing
in, and actively managing, low risk,
long-term cash generating assets.
Our Leadership Team
Our senior professionals are experienced principal infrastructure investors with extensive
origination, execution and management experience across multiple geographies and
infrastructure subsectors. They have a broad set of financial and industrial backgrounds.
Bastion continues to expand its investment and asset management teams.
Ron Lepin, Managing Partner
Ron Lepin has a long history of making successful infrastructure investments.
Prior to forming Bastion, he founded, built and led the Ontario Teachers’
Pension Plan direct infrastructure investing program – one of the first to
develop this separate asset class and the direct investment approach. Ron
was most recently Managing Director and COO of the $4 billion Morgan
Stanley Infrastructure Partners fund. At Morgan Stanley, his responsibilities
included leading the investment and asset management teams.
Our Investment
Strategy
Bastion’s investment strategy is
focused on building a portfolio of
diversified infrastructure assets that
deliver attractive risk-adjusted and
absolute returns, and that provide an
inflation hedge for our clients.
Enrique Fuentes, Partner – Investments
Enrique Fuentes has over 20 years of extensive infrastructure investment
and management expertise. He brings industrial and financial expertise as a
strategic investor and asset manager from his 13 years with Cintra, S.A. and
Ferrovial, S.A. where he was responsible for overseeing the build-out and
growth of their $2 billion infrastructure concession business.
We actively source and develop
opportunities to invest in assets
that have tangible economic
characteristics that provide for
reduced business risk and generate
predictable long term cash flows.
Kevin Kerr, Partner – Investments
Kevin Kerr spent over 13 years at Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board
in various roles, including Global Head of Investments, and along with
Ron Lepin, was a founding member of Teacher’s Infrastructure Group with
a portfolio over $10 billion. Most recently, Kevin was Senior Managing
Director at OMERS Strategic Investments where he was responsible for the
development, execution and management of key strategic investments.
Using a disciplined investment
process we perform intensive due
diligence and analysis on investment
opportunities and seek to create
value through the investment
process. We make controlling
investments or have positions of
influence so that we can actively
add value and control risk over the
long-term with our dedicated asset
management team.
Wael Elkhouly, Partner – Asset Management
Wael Elkhouly has over 20 years of infrastructure experience in various
industrial and financial capacities, having previously assumed the roles of
engineer, asset manager, principal investor, and advisor. Prior to joining
Bastion, Wael was the head of asset management at EISER Infrastructure
Partners where he led a team that managed a diverse portfolio of European
and Australian assets across the infrastructure asset class.
