STATUTORY SALARIES ADJUSTMENT ACT.
Act No. 30, 1963.
An Act to increase the salaries of the Judges of the
Supreme Court and District Courts and of certain
other Judges and of the holders of certain other
statutory offices; for this and other purposes to
amend the Constitution Act, 1902, the Supreme
Court and Circuit Courts Act, 1900, the District
Courts Act, 1912, the Public Service Act, 1902,
the Western Lands Act of 1901, the Valuation
of Land Act, 1916, the Industrial Arbitration
Act, 1940, and certain other Acts in certain
respects; to repeal the Statutory Salaries Adjust­
ment Act, 1961; to validate certain matters;
and for purposes connected therewith. [Assented
to, 13th September, 1963.]

it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by
and with the advice and consent of the Legislative
Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in
Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as
follows: —
1. (1) This Act may be cited as the "Statutory Salaries
Adjustment Act, 1963".
(2) This Act shall be deemed to have commenced
on the first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and
sixty-two.
2. The salary payable to the holder of an office specified
in the first column of the First Schedule to this Act pursuant
to the enactment specified opposite that office in the second
column of that Schedule is hereby increased to the amount
specified opposite that office in the third column of that
Schedule.

(1) The holder of an office specified in the first
column of the Second Schedule to this Act shall be entitled
to receive an allowance for special expenses incurred by him
in the capacity of holder of the particular office at the annual
rate specified opposite that office in the second column of
that Schedule.
(2) Any allowance to which the holder of any office
referred to in subsection one of this section is entitled under
that subsection in respect of any period before the day upon
which Her Majesty's assent to this Act is signified shall
be reduced by the amount of any allowance to which he
is or was entitled under the Statutory Salaries Adjustment
Act, 1961, in respect of that period.
4 . The Statutory Salaries Adjustment Act, 1961, is hereby
repealed.
