SAGE testing in grades 3-6 begins when we return from spring break. Students will begin first with the Writing segment then Language Arts, Math and Science. Teachers have been diligently preparing students for this end of year state assessment. You can help at home by ensuring that your child has plenty of rest, enjoys a good breakfast and is on time to school. Please avoid student absences if at all possible. Other noteworthy events that are being prepared for are the Shakespeare performances, Choir, Band and Orchestra concerts and the Math Science Olympiad. We are fortunate to have so many opportunities for building Mustang pride in our school. Plans are being put into place for the last Book Fair, PTA Fun Run and Field Day. We are so appreciative of the many events made possible for kids on behalf of such terrific volunteers. Every effort is noted. We give a huge shout out to this year's PTA Co-Presidents Pamela Richins and Charee McKay, along with their amazing board members. We thank them and their families for their endless hours and devotion. Please join us in helping all students finish the year strong! It is my privilege to be a part of such a fabulous community. Principal Joanne Hobbs PAGE A Note from the PTA... 2 Hello Mustangs! Spring has sprung! We hope all students and staff enjoy spring break and take some time to stop and smell the flowers! As school starts winding down here at Uintah, we will be busy with some fun activities. We have Book Fair, Walk-a-Thon, field trips, staff appreciation and field day, just to name a few. Please look for more information to come on all of these events and opportunities to volunteer at each one. Many thanks to all those who helped with Dr. Seuss day. Jill Smith, Sarah Empey and Diana Dillingham did a great job putting it all together and we had many moms and dads help us out that morning. So Thank You, Thank You, Thank You! These events wouldn't be possible without the hard work and dedication of our many Uintah parent volunteers! Charee McKay & Pamela Richins PTA Co-Presidents Annual... Walk-A-Thon Our annual Walk-a-Thon fundraiser is coming up and our kick off assembly will be held on Friday, May 5th. This is the PTA's primary fundraiser and generally raises enough funds to cover all the activities that the PTA sponsors each school year. We'll be encouraging each student to raise at least $25. If they do, we'll be able to fulfill our fundraising goals that will benefit staff, students, and parents! Stay tuned for additional Walk-A-Thon information to be sent home. The PTA is always grateful for the kind and generous support of Uintah parents and staff! UE.WEBER.K12.UT.US PAGE Stock up on S’more books for summer reading… Buy one Get one FREE book fair!!!
