NUMBER OF GOATS PER PEN 6 National Goat Expo 2012 Depending on the size of goats, breeders will only be allowed to have two to four goats per pen. If showing four full grown Boers for example, breeders might have to have two pens depending on the actual size and the pen location if bringing 3 animals. Nigerians will be allowed to have up to 4-5 full size animals in the pens. There will be two barns in which the goats will be housed for the event. The first barn is the sheep barn containing 451 stalls/pens. The other barn being used will be the swine barn, which contains 1206 stalls/pens and the south side of the swine barn has 200 pens/stalls. Bedding for goats will be provided on site for purchased in the form of shavings at the NGE. There will be bucks at the NGE and they will stay with their breeds and either Standard size of miniature area/locations. If breeders need to have Llama pens put up and placed for their bucks this will need to be noted on the entry form and those will be at $25 per pen as we have to rent them and set them up specifically for whoever will need them.
