The Legendary LIMUN Crisis topic will be revealed later this summer. Past Crises have included the
Men who Built America, The Chinese Four Cabinets crisis etc.
Global Health Cluster
The Global Health Cluster is a committee that brings together the WHO and her partners to
coordinate effective campaigns and policies affecting health concerns worldwide. Delegates will be
representing NGOs and work to jointly assess information, adapt plans to respond to health crises and
advocate for agreed upon actions.

International Court of Justice
The International Court of Justice is a main organ of the United Nations, tasked with settling legal
disputes between states.
International Monetary Fund
The International Monetary Fund is an intergovernmental organisation within the United Nations
System, working to regulate global financial flows.
United Nations Security Council
The United Nations Security Council is one of the six principal organs of the UN, charged with the
maintenance of international peace and security as well as accepting new members of the United
Nations and approving any changes to its United Nations Charter.
Historical Security Council
The United Nations Security Council is one of the six principal organs of the UN, charged with the
maintenance of international peace and security as well as accepting new members of the United
Nations and approving any changes to its United Nations Charter. However the Historical SC will
consist of the members of the council at a selected time in history. More details available later.
United Nations Chief Executives Board
The United Nations Chief Executives Board brings together the heads of the organizations in the
United Nations System. Delegates in this committee will be representing the organs allocated and will
have individual study guides based on on-going conflicts that serve as a priority for their organs, and
will deal with establishing cooperation, support, securing funding and ensuring the UN best
acknowledges and responds to their agenda.
INTERMEDIATE
United Nations Commission on Sokovia
Fictional, based on the world created by Marvel: The United Nations Commission on Sokovia, was
created after a partnership by S.H.I.E.L.D and the UN to address the use of powered individuals and
the effect on lives and property. Delegates in this committee will also be reviewing the creation of an
Accords to regulate, permit or inhibit the use of superpowers on the planet.
Economic and Financial Council
The Economic and Financial Committee is the Second Committee of the United Nations General
Assembly, dealing with issues of global finance and economic development.

The League of Nations is the precursor organisation to the United Nations, having existed from 1920
to 1946.
International Olympic Committee
The International Olympic Committee is an international organisation that encourage the support and
organisation of sport competitions, especially through the organisation of the Olympic Games.
Delegates in this committee will be discussing their topics as well as bidding for and electing the host
of the Olympic Games.
North Atlantic Treaty Organisation
The North Atlantic Treaty Organization is an intergovernmental political and military alliance.
International Atomic Energy Agency
The International Atomic Energy Agency is an international organisation working to promote peaceful
use of nuclear technology.

The World Health Organization is a specialised agency of the United Nations dedicated to promoting
international public health.

World Conference on Technology
The World Conference on Technology is a special session called by the member states of the United
Nations to address new technological advancements and their impact on human activities,
government cyber-security, laws and general practices.

The Economic and Social Council is a main organ of the United Nations, responsible for coordinating
the social, economic and environmental efforts of agencies in the United Nations System.

The Legal Committee is the Sixth Committee of the United Nations General Assembly. The Sixth
Committee is the primary forum for the consideration of legal questions in the General Assembly.

General Assembly, dealing with disarmament and threats to international peace and security.

organisation dedicated to gender equality and the empowerment of women.

The United Nations Development Programme is an organisation dedicated to sustainable
development and poverty eradication.
United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organisation
The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization is a specialised agency of the
United Nations dedicated to promoting peace through education, scientific collaboration and
intercultural understanding.
United Nations Environmental Programme
The United Nations Environment Programme is an organisation dedicated to environmental
protection and sustainable development.
United Nations Human Rights Council
The Human Rights Council is a subsidiary body of the United Nations General Assembly, dealing with
thematic issues relating to human rights as well as specific situations.
African Union
The African Union is a regional organisation that promotes cooperation between African states.
United Nations High Commission on Refugees
The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees is an organisation dedicated to
protecting refugees and delivering humanitarian assistance.
FOREIGN-LANGUAGE
League of Arab States
The League of Arab States is a regional organisation that promotes cooperation between Arab
countries. At LIMUN 2017, it will be simulated in Arabic.
Shanghai Cooperation Commission
The Shanghai Cooperation Commission is a Eurasian political, economic, and military organisation
which promotes cooperation between the members of the organisation. At LIMUN 2017, it will be
simulated in Chinese.
European Council
The European Council is an institution within the European Union that provides the Union with
strategic direction. At LIMUN 2017, it will be simulated in French.
Commonwealth of Independent States
The Commonwealth of Independent States is a regional organisation formed after the breakup of the
Soviet Union and possesses coordinating powers in the realm of trade, finance, law-making, and
security. At LIMUN 2017, it will be simulated in Russian.
Community of Latin American and Caribbean States
The Community of Latin American and Caribbean States is a regional organisation that promotes
cooperation among Latin American and Caribbean countries. At LIMUN 2017, it will be simulated in
Spanish.
**Summits
A Summit, at this conference, is a session called by the United Nations to discuss a topic that
is larger than the mandate of a single Committee but can be dealt with by two or more
committees with a general mandate.
The mandate of the Summit has been given by the Secretary-General to the various
committees to discuss the theme presented to them by the United Nations.
The individual topic of the Summit will be determined by the Secretary-General and the
Under-Secretary-General Chairing and communicated to the Committee Daises and
members at least a month before the Conference.
