ALL-WEATHER TACTICAL “FRIEND-FOE” IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM
The system operates within 2000 nm SWIR band that allows friendly troops, military weaponry or cargoes identification in the nighttime under any weather (in
snow, rain, fog) and lighting conditions. SWIR band and ultra-short emitted signal
prevent the radar detection by existing technical means such as night and thermal imaging sights, optical scopes, video cameras, as well as SWIR devices, etc.
The system ensures human detection and recognition by a receiver within a 3-km
distance.
The “Fiend-Foe” system helps to implement localized rescue and search operations; cargo drops; prompt vehicle navigation (including aerial) to a soldier; cargoes, military equipment, and deployment sites tagging.
The device allows to receive and recognize an identity, personal data, and a condition of a soldier (combat-ready, wounded, killed, captured, etc.). The “Fiend-Foe”
system has a transmitter deactivation algorithm in case of its seizure by an enemy.

The all-weather tactical “Fiend-Foe” identification system is a hardware and software technical system intended for automatic identification of friendly troops, cargoes or military vehicles. The complex impresses with its ultra-compact casing
and light weight (70 g.).
Being a part of nowadays conflicts and anti-terrorist operations, a combat phase
is carried out under adverse weather conditions (rain, snow, fog, dust storms),
in the night time (for the purpose of weaponry and technical means superiority)
and under urban, forest and mountains restrictions. Taking into account that a
uniform and weapons of each conflicting party are quite alike, you need to use the
“Fiend-Foe” system for personnel and weaponry identification in order to minimize “friendly” fire losses.
