“I think a hero is any person really intent on making this a better place for all people.” - Maya Angelou Siblings Day A special day for the brothers and sisters of children with disabilities Saturday, April 18th 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM Madison, WI Having a child with disabilities or special needs affects everyone in the family, including their siblings. Yet, the relationship between these siblings can have a powerful impact on how children react, respond and empower each other as they grow. Sibs Day is an opportunity for school-aged youth who have siblings with disabilities to acknowledge the differences that exist while building relationships with their peers who understand what it means to have a loved one with disabilities or special needs. Cost is $7 per youth, and includes activities, lunch, t-shirt and book. A short presentation at the end of the day will be followed by a pizza party for the entire family. Pre-registration is required. Call the Epilepsy Foundation at (608) 442-5555 for more information or to sign up. This is not a school-sponsored activity and the Madison Metropolitan School District does not approve, support, supervise or endorse this program/activity.
