Dear families,
April is upon us, and the weather will hopefully start warming up. Once the ground thaws a bit we will get some time to play outside,
so please start bringing some outdoor gear on those days we don’t have rain (or snow). In the classroom we will be continuing our
exploration of the alphabet, through our senses and our letter bags. The children have really enjoyed getting a chance to be in front
of the class. I’m so proud of how brave the children are to be in front of the class, and how respectful their classmates have been to
their friends.
Parent teacher conferences will be held April 13th through April 17th. During conferences, we will talk about your child’s growth over
the course of the school year, this conference will be about 15 minutes in length. Please come to the conference without your child,
as we want to be able to talk without distractions. In the past, parents have arranged playdates with other MCNS family in the class. I
will have a sign up sheet for conferences in the hallway when we get back from Spring Break, please note I will have one block of time
in the evening for those who prefer evening times.
Reminders
Spring Fling is Saturday April 18th from 2-4pm. This is a free event put on by the school’s board and staff to celebrate our fabulous
MCNS families. There will be a sign-up sheet in the hallway to RSVP.
Our end of the year celebration for the Fun in 3s class is Thursday May 21st. The children will do a few songs and get certificates,
families are invited to attend.
I’m still finalizing our dates for “Our Very Special Tea” and a field trip to Wild Wings, these happen in May so keep an eye out for those
dates.
