Webster Banker on Susan B. Anthony Project Board
WATERBURY, Conn., October 24, 2014 – Maria Salomone, vice president and manager of Webster’s
Torrington, Conn., banking center, has been elected to the board of directors of the Susan B. Anthony Project.
The mission of the Susan B. Anthony Project is to promote safety, healing, and growth for all survivors of
domestic and sexual abuse, as well as advocating for the autonomy of women and the end of interpersonal
violence. It provides 20 towns in northwestern Connecticut with services and support through community
education and outreach programs.
Salomone joined Webster Bank in 2005 and has 9 years of banking experience. In addition, this resident of
Torrington lives up to the communities she serves by being active on the board of the Torrington and Winsted,
Conn., Areas Rotary Club, the Workman Memorial Assisted Living Foundation, and a member of the Northwestern
Connecticut United Way, Citizen Review Panel.
Salomone graduated from Southern Connecticut State University with a bachelors’ degree in finance.
