Stone Age, Bone Age – Homework Menu
Your teachers have created a menu of fun activities
to help you get ready for our new topic. Choose a
task to complete at home. You can bring your work
(or a photo) to show your class. We expect everyone
to do one task by the end of this half term (21st
October) although you can do more if you want to.
Research the Stone Age and create Make a Stone Age sculpture of a

your own history-file full of fun
caveman, mammoth or another
storyboard using cave drawings or
facts and interesting information
Neolithic beast. Use salt dough,
words (or both!)

Try some Stone Age themed cooking
(e.g. rock cakes, cave cookies, flat
bread). Write down your recipe for
others to try. Take a picture or make a
mammoth portion for your class to
share.
Watch the ‘Horrible Histories’
Stone Age song. Make up your
own poem or song to record or
perform to the class.
Collect some rocks and arrange
them in beautiful patterns to make
your own stone circle.
Make a Stone Age puzzle, word
search, quiz or board game. You
could base them on an existing
game.
Build a model cave, shelter or
house from one of the many ages
of stone.
Create your own Stone Age
timeline complete with pictures and
dates outlining the major changes
that took place during the different
ages of stone.
