We´ve all been there!
What is the Student Union?
(SUS)
• 22, 000 members
• Run by students for students
• Give students influence over time spent here at
Stockholm
 How?
 Participation – Able to vote in elections, work with SUS
 Openess – All documents, meeting minutes accessible to all
 Inclusivity- Benefits to only members (SSSB line, SL discount)
 Equal Opportunities- Every faculty represented in SUS, every type of student
represented (Phd, International, Job searchers, Equal Opportunities, student
clubs)
 Communications Strength – Communitcations department involving SUS
website, Gaudeamus, SSCO, facebook, etc.

Mentor Program: Pairing an international student with a
Swedish student of similar interests
Get advice, help, and spend time with a Swedish student. Make
friends!
A great way to learn about the city, the country, and your
surroundings

The Language Club
• The idea of The Language Club is to stimulate and enhance language and
cultural exchange among international and Swedish students.
• Every other Thursday we organize language cafés (at Professorn Restaurant
at Lappis Residence) that are built on the idea of tandem practice contribute with your own native tongue while practice your other language
skills on someone who speaks it fluently!

• No sign up, all are welcome!
• Updates: Newsletter, FB, Posters on Campus

• Each semester, the International Student
Coordinators will select Ambassadors that are best
suited to represent international students from
different countries, backgrounds and faculty association
•Chosen to be a voice for international students
•Have influence in student council, head
•Are aware of what´s going on at the university/Student council
•Can create or volunteer for activities, events, programs
•Write blogs
•Be a face for international students
