This document will guide you through the process of installing the BookMETM application on your Facebook webpage.
Considering the great popularity of Facebook and other social networking sites these days, having this application will
help drive traffic to your salon’s BookMETM page and create bookings! It will cover:
• Installing the application on your Facebook Profile, and
• Installing the application on your Fan page (if applicable).
If you are not already using the BookMETM feature, you will need the following:
1. All computers at each salon (site) must be running the latest version of Shortcuts 7.3. The Shortcuts
Point of Sale server must also have the BookME Agent installed. See the 7.3 Installation Guide for
further instructions.
2. Your Shortcuts Point of Sale server to be switched on and connected to the Internet at all times
(Shortcuts does not need to be running, but the computer must remain switched on).

Installing the BookMETM Application on your Facebook
Profile
1. After you have logged in to your Facebook profile, type “apps.facebook.com/onlinebookme” without the
quotation marks into your web browser’s URL field and press the Enter key on your keyboard. The Log in to
Shortcuts Online Booking page will appear.
2. Click on the Allow button. The Shortcuts Online Booking on Facebook page will appear.

3. Type in your BookMETM company ID into the Host Header field. This is the same name found in your BookMETM
Administration URL. For example, if your URL was https://mysalonname.mylocalsalon.com/onlinebooking/
, you would type “mysalonname” without the quotation marks into the Host Header field.
4. Click the Save button. A new Add to Profile button will appear just above the Shortcuts logo.
5. Click the Add to Profile button. The Add Shortcuts Online Booking to your profile popup will appear.

6. Click the Add button. You will be taken back to your profile page and the Shortcuts Online Booking application will
be displayed on your Wall page.
7. Click on the Keep button to finish adding the application to your Wall page.

8. If you want to add an Online Booking tab as well, click on the ‘+’ button beside your existing tabs and select the
Online Booking option from the popup menu that appears.
You have finished adding the BookMETM application to your Facebook profile!

Installing the BookMETM Application on your Fan Page
Once you have finished installing the BookMETM application on your Facebook profile, you can also install it on your fan
page if you have one. To do so, perform the following steps:
1. On your fan page, type “fb.shortcutssoftware.com” without the quotation marks into your web browser’s URL
field and press the Enter key on your keyboard. The Shortcuts Online Booking page will appear.
2. Click the Add to my Page link on the left-hand side of the screen. If you cannot see this link, click on the More
link to display additional options. The Add Shortcuts Online Booking to your Page popup will appear.

3. Click the Add to Page button for the relevant page you want to add Online Booking to, then click the Close button.
4. Navigate back to your fan page and click on the Edit Page link. The Edit Page page will appear.

5. Click on the pencil icon for the Shortcuts Online Booking link and select the Edit option from the popup menu
that appears. You may need to scroll down the page to find this option. The Shortcuts Online Booking Settings
screen will appear.
6. Type in your BookMETM company ID into the Host Header field. This is the same name found in your BookMETM
Administration URL. For example, if your URL was https://mysalonname.mylocalsalon.com/onlinebooking/
, you would type “mysalonname” without the quotation marks into the Host Header field.
7. Click on the Save button, then click on the link leading back to your fan page (shown as ‘Test Salon’ in the
screenshot above).

8. Click on the Boxes tab, then click on the pencil icon for the Shortcuts Online Booking application and select the
Move to Wall tab option from the popup menu that appears.
9. If you want to add an Online Booking tab to your fan page as well, click on the ‘+’ button beside your existing tabs
and select the Online Booking option from the popup menu that appears.
You have finished adding the BookMETM application to your Facebook fan page!
