Is there really a need for a company brochure in times when
anything and everything can be sourced on the Internet in
seconds?
What do we want to show you more closely? Isn’t such a document merely past romance?
We don’t think so! The company WISAR, Wyser + Anliker AG
was founded in 1961. Behind us lies a rich history with all the
ups and downs that occur in a dynamic company. Changes and
upheavals are now in progress: we will be in the middle of a
double generational change within a few years, and are determined to align our sights to the customer needs and challenges
of the coming years.
With this brochure we want to pause for a moment and show
our customers, business partners and market operators where
we come from, what we offer and where we are going. We
would like to say a big thank you for the deep and mostly longterm loyalty of our customers. Thanks are also due to all our
partners who have supported this project.

OUR ENTERPRISE
History
The family business WISAR, Wyser + Anliker was founded by
Caesar Wyser and Claire Anliker as a partnership in March 1961.
From the beginning, the company specialized in the construction
of standardized electrical control cabinets made of aluminium.
In quick succession, trading with aluminium mounting rails
and standard parts was added, commercial representations of
reputed European electrical component manufacturers were
acquired and the range of enclosures was extended to include
outdoor use.
In 1992, the firm was converted into a public limited company
under the name of WISAR, Wyser + Anliker AG. This brought
new opportunities for the future. However ownership did not
change: the company remained a family business. Thanks to the
rapid development in telecommunications with the constant
expansion of mobile telephony, the ingenious design of the
double-wall ALK 3000 cabin experienced a strong increase in the
nineties and was for many years successfully sold over half the
world.
The market activity of WISAR initially covered the whole of
Switzerland. An independent West Switzerland sales office
was soon established in Lausanne and representatives set up
in German-speaking Switzerland and Ticino. During the seventies the WISAR standard spread quickly and solidly throughout
Switzerland.
Only the decade from 2000 onwards led to saturation, forcing
the company into a niche market. In addition, other national and
international competitors successfully established themselves
on the market. Subsequently the decision was taken to focus
on the core competencies and to adapt the size of the company
accordingly. Since the death of the company founder in 2011, the
company is now in a double generational change and thus in a
challenging period of consolidation.
In parallel, distributors were set up in different countries of
Europe, in Austria, Germany, Norway and Spain. They took over
the key products in enclosures for their respective markets, and
still produce and distribute today. This has also lead to long-term
partnerships on the international scene.

We understand the requirements of our customers and can offer
customized solutions at short notice due to the knowledge of
our experts and our location in Switzerland. A sophisticated
range of products, expert advice and problem-solving developed
together with the customer lead to effective added value for our
customers.
Our site is ideally placed in the industrial area of Kloten, near
Zurich airport. This gives us the benefit of us easy communication and distribution channels.

WISAR is considered a pioneer in the field of

production and warehouse space for quality, technically superior
products, Made in Switzerland. The wide range is aimed at customers in the fields of installation, residential housing, industrial/mechanical engineering as well as telecommunications and
transportation technology. The company has made a name for
itself mainly through individual, customised solutions.
Enclosures
In addition to our flagship ALK 3000 cabinet which is made
entirely of aluminium with stainless steel connections, we also
build sturdy aluminium control cabinets and smaller aluminium
or chrome steel enclosures, for indoor and outdoor use. Dimensions and finish can be customized on all housings manufactured
by WISAR to meet the needs of the customer.

Our ability to offer customized solutions that are tailored to individual needs gives WISAR an extremely strong market position.
For example, with the ALK 3000, one of our flagship products.
The extremely robust and weatherproof outdoor cabinet has been
commonplace in Switzerland for years - at thousands of intersections control technology is housed in it to run the traffic lights.
The outside colour is mostly light grey, but WISAR is able to deliver the ALK 3000 in any other colour, within a reasonable time.
That‘s one of the big advantages, over our market partners: the
Kloten production site is also our logistical and commercial hub.
The distances are short, we can respond promptly and flexibly to
the wishes and needs of customers and thus deliver quickly.

Young people who can benefit from the expertise of older colleagues bring new concepts and ideas and thus contribute to the optimal team composition.
Through this mix of experience and new ideas we can count on very flexible teams in
assembly, sheet metal processing and logistics.
In addition to our standard products, we will in the future offer and handle more
customer-specific projects in enclosures and sheet metal fabrication. This will mean
that our customers can get everything from a single source, even fully equipped
enclosures, for example, with terminals and screw fittings. To further implement
this step, our expertise has expanded into construction, development and project
management.
