Introduction
TM
Iceberg Cloud Stitching (Iceberg) is a mobile application designed to seamlessly manage and increase
the storage capacity on your mobile device. Iceberg uses Cloud Storage (Cloud) to seamlessly access
additional resources for your personal data and files. 8 Gigabytes of memory can easily be expanded by
22 Gigabytes for a total capacity of 30 Gigabytes by accessing the capacity of Google Drive, Dropbox and
OneDrive. This increased storage is easily accessed through Iceberg at little or no expense.
Your personal data can be selectively managed by Iceberg. In addition to expanded file storage of your
mobile device, selected files and personal data are protected using Cloud storage by providing back-up
copies.
An important feature of Iceberg is the recovery feature. If you lose your mobile device and get a new one,
install Iceberg, execute the recovery feature and it will download the files onto your new device. If your
new phone has less capacity than the original, Iceberg will continue using the Cloud as an extension of
your storage space automatically.
Setting Up Iceberg
The basic steps to install and get Iceberg working are very simple.
1
Register with DropBox, Google Drive and/or Microsoft OneDrive.
2
Once you have your free storage space, install Iceberg.
3
Add the storage space with the plus sign at the bottom right on the display.
4
Select the files you want to manage from the same plus sign.
Once the files are selected, a white number in a red cloud will appear on the top right. This number
is the number of files Iceberg is managing on your local device. The three vertical dots on the top right
of the display allow you to change your settings.

Iceberg Settings
Some very important parameters that you should consider are:
Virtualize via Mobile Data (Data Carrier): This is a very important switch. If this switch is on then
the mobile device will use cellular network or WiFi to move data to and from the Cloud. If you turn off
this switch, data will not be moved to the Cloud unless the device is part of a WiFi network. However,
users can download data by individual files and override the switch setting to ensure data is accessible.
Primary Storage: Iceberg stitches up to three Clouds together to give you maximum space to protect
your data. The Cloud storage provider found on the main screen with an asterisk (*) will be considered
the primary storage.
Google Drive Threshold: If you have data on Google Drive from other sources, you can set Iceberg
to make sure you do not use up all the space without leaving some from other access points.
OneDrive Threshold: This is Cloud storage provided by Microsoft and can be attached as part of
the stitched Cloud.
Dropbox Threshold: As an independent Cloud storage provider you have access to increased
storage by making this a part of your stitched Cloud.
Enter Inactive Time: If a file has not been accessed in the specified time parameter, Iceberg will
automatically move the file to the Cloud saving space on your device. If the data is critical and needs
to be protected immediately, the time parameter can be set to minutes. This time setting will copy
your files to the Cloud as quickly as possible in the event the device is lost or fails.
What Happens to Your Files: When a file under Iceberg management has not been accessed in the
time that you want to select for “Virtualization” (see Enter Inactive Time below), the file is moved to the
Cloud and a placeholder file with the name of the file with a “.iceberg” extension is left in its place.
When the file is retrieved from the Cloud the placeholder file is removed. For example,
my-firstsong.mp4 file becomes my-first-song-mp4.iceberg.

What Happens to Your Files if Your
Device Fails
Consider what happens if your mobile device breaks,
is lost, has to be rebuilt from factory settings or a new
device needs to be initialized. This is a huge concern
for most, however with Iceberg technology, you will
be able to access all your data with no effort or the
need to connect to another computer.
The process is simple and all that needs to be
done is to:
1 Install Iceberg.
2 Map the Cloud drives as they had been before
the crash.
3 Go to the “Settings” (top right three vertical dots)
on the dashboard.
4 Go to “Recover Iceberg” and acknowledge
the prompt.
Recovery of your personal data becomes a simple
process with Iceberg. You can even move to a
new device and not have to worry about complex
procedures to move your data.
Click on Recover Iceberg if you are recovering
data from another device or after a device factory
reset. All data under Iceberg management on
your previous device will be recovered
automatically.
