Havengore Brochure

HAVENGORE
LONDON
“There are two things scarce matched in
the Universe - the Sun in Heaven and the Thames on Earth”
- Sir Walter Raleigh (1552-1618)
The World Stage
Havengore was specially commissioned
by the Port of London Authority in 1954
to act both as its flagship and principal
survey vessel.
Constructed to the highest standards of
British craftsmanship using English oak
and teak, she was extensively restored
between 1997 and 2008. This distinguished
vessel has now resumed her former
role and continues to take part in
ceremonial occasions and the hosting
of visiting dignitaries.
“Americans here
today will tell our
grandchildren of how
we saw with our own
eyes, and watched as
they carried the great
Winston Churchill up
the Thames …”
- Dwight D Eisenhower 30th January 1965
Havengore’s proudest moment came in 1965
when, watched live by a worldwide audience
of 350 million, she took centre stage as she
carried Sir Winston Churchill on his final
journey by water along the Thames.

Heart of London
St. Katharine Docks
When not on the river, Havengore is
berthed in St. Katharine Docks very close to
the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. Since
Roman times London’s docks have received
goods and travellers from around the globe.
This cosmopolitan atmosphere continues
to this day at St. Katharine’s in what has
now been transformed into a stylish modern
marina setting amidst bars, restaurants and
luxury apartments.
Here in the very heart of London, Havengore
makes an ideal venue for entertaining up to
60 people when moored, with a private bar
HAVENGORE | LONDON
and oceans of deck space available for
those magical evenings.
You can also board Havengore from a
number of different piers in central London.
Moored or sailing, choose whichever suits
you best.
Either way, moored or cruising,
Havengore provides an excellent and
stimulating environment for confidential
meetings or seminars conducted in a truly
unique environment.
