Dear Parents and Carers
The children have had to put up with lots of different weather. It is extremely unpredictable. This makes it
difficult to wear appropriate clothing and the need to suddenly change the location of outdoor clubs such as
football.

Chickenpox
Please be aware that there are still cases of chickenpox in school.
There is still some hot weather!
Please ensure that your children have sun hats, sun lotion etc. to protect them while outside. Also for safety
we have asked that children do not wear sandals with open toes. The reason for this is that I have witnessed,
in a previous school, a particularly unpleasant accident involving a child stubbing her toe on the playground.
Obviously it is your choice to do as you see fit as they are not banned, but the advice is given in the light of our
experience.
East Cambs Games
The Quadkids Athletics group achieved a fantastic result of first place at the East Cambs Youth Games at
Witchford Village College. I am sure you will join me in congratulating them for this wonderful accolade. I
would like to thank Mrs Kirby and Mrs Stevens for escorting them for the day and the parents who went along
to support them. They will now go onto the Quadkids Athletics final on 30th June in St Ives.
Cake Break Friday 24th June 2016
Due to the recent Year 6 cakebreak and the Kids on the Catwalk event on 23 rd June the cake break for Friday
24th has been postponed until later in the term.
