REALTOR® Action Fund Sweepstakes to Win 1 of 9 Visa Gift Cards
Sweepstakes: All qualifying contributors during the Eligibility Period for the Greater Antelope Valley Association of REALTORS®
(“GAVAR”) RAF Sweepstakes that contribute at least $20 to the REALTOR® Action Fund (“RAF”) shall be entered in the GAVAR
RAF Sweepstakes. The sweepstakes will include four separate drawings. Drawing entered will be determined by amount of
contribution. A contribution from $20.00-$48.99 will receive one entry for drawing to win 1 of 2 $25.00 Visa Gift Card (“$25 GIFT CARD
RAF DRAWING”); a contribution from $49.00-$147.99 will receive one entry for drawing to win 1 of 3 $150.00 Visa Gift Card (“$150
GIFT CARD RAF DRAWING”); a contribution of $148.00-$448.99 will receive one entry for drawing to win 1 of 3 $250.00 Visa Gift
Card (“$250 GIFT CARD RAF DRAWING”) and a contribution of $449 or higher will receive one entry for drawing to win 1 $500 Visa
Gift card. ("$500 GIFT CARD RAF DRAWING).
Prizes and Odds of Winning: Prizes and Odds of Winning: Two (2) winners of the $25 GIFT CARD RAF DRAWING will each receive a
$25 Visa Gift Card with retail value of $25. Three (3) winners of the $150 GIFT CARD RAF DRAWING will each receive a $150 Visa Gift
Card with retail value of $150. Three (3) winners of the $250 GIFT CARD RAF DRAWING will each receive a $250 Visa Gift Card with
retail value of $250. One (1) winner of the $500 GIFT CARD RAF DRAWING will receive a $500 Visa Gift Card with retail value of
$500. Prizes not redeemable for cash; no substitutions. Odds of winning are based on the total number of entries received in each
drawing.
Eligibility: All GAVAR REALTOR members are eligible to participate. Participants must be California residents over 18 years of age.
Employees of GAVAR or the California Association of REALTORS® (“C.A.R.”), their subsidiaries and their families are ineligible.
Eligibility Period: The sweepstakes will start on the start of the 2017 dues billing cycle and end on March 31, 2017 at 11:59 p.m. Only
one entry per person by any means. A person may only participate in one drawing.
Drawings: The drawings for the prizes will be held on April 19, 2017 at approximately 12:15 p.m. during the GAVAR membership
luncheon Hellenic Center, 43404 30th St. West, Lancaster, CA, 93534. Entrants need not be present to win. GAVAR will use
commercially reasonable efforts to contact each winner not present using contact information provided by each entrant. If a winner is
not reached within a reasonable period, he/she may be disqualified and an alternate winner may be selected. Prize will be mailed to
each winner unless other arrangements are made that are satisfactory to GAVAR. Return of any mailed prize may result in
disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.
Other Rules: All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Gift card issuer rules and policies may apply –contact issuer for
additional information. Sweepstakes is void where prohibited or restricted by law. Each prize winner shall promptly provide GAVAR
with information to comply with federal, state or local tax and other laws, or may result in disqualification
and selection of an alternate winner. Entrants agree that they have read, understand and agree to be bound by these rules and by the
decisions of GAVAR, which are final and binding on all matters pertaining to this sweepstakes.
Liability: All taxes on prizes are the sole responsibility of the prize winners. By entering, participants release and hold
Harmless GAVAR, C.A.R., their subsidiaries and affiliates,
and their respective directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability or any injuries, loss, or damages of any kind
arising from or in connection with this sweepstakes or any prizes won. GAVAR does not assume any responsibility for misdirected, late
or non-delivered mail.
NO CONTRIBUTION, PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. Eligible persons may obtain one
(1) free entry to one (1) of the four (4) drawings (no multiple entries) by printing entrant’s name, address, and telephone number on a 3
x 5 index card with either “$25 GIFT CARD RAF DRAWING,” “$150 GIFT CARD RAF DRAWING,” “$250 GIFT CARD RAF DRAWING”
"$500 GIFT CARD RAF DRAWING" must be mailed to the Greater Antelope Valley Association of REALTORS, 1112 W Avenue M-4,
Palmdale, CA 93551. Entries that doe not identify which drawing is to be entered will be entered in the $25 GIFT CARD RAF
DRAWING. All mailed entries must be received by March 31, 2017
Political contributions are not tax deductible as charitable contributions for federal and state income tax purposes. Contributions to
the REALTOR® Action Fund are voluntary, but you may give more, or less, or nothing at all. Failure to contribute will not affect an
individual’s membership status in the California Association of REALTORS® (C.A.R.). Contributions will be allocated among three of
C.A.R.’s political action committees (PACs), according to different formulas approved by C.A.R. for personal and corporate
contributions. These PACs are: CREPAC (supports state and local candidates); CREPAC/Federal (supports federal candidates); and
CREIEC (makes independent expenditures in support of or opposition to candidates). C.A.R. also sponsors IMPAC which supports
local and state ballot measures and other issues that impact real property in California. The allocation formula may change including
re-designating a portion to IMPAC.
