ACTIONS FOR EARTH – GLOBAL YOUTH SUMMIT 2014 Summer
Theme: Energy Efficiency and Biodiversity
Global Youth Summit (GYS) Summer 2014 for youths aged 11 - 21 will continue to be held in
Singapore, however, there are plans for subsequent GYS to be held outside Singapore.
The date for GYS Summer 2014 is 8th to 11th September. Delegates to report on 7th
September. The venue for the opening and closing is at the Singapore Polytechnic Auditorium
with the workshop at Costa Sand Resort (Downtown East).
The activities are:
Environmental Studies: Waste Management, Energy Management, Ecosystem, Biodiversity,
Marine species
Study Tour/Visits: Sentosa Aquarium, Wetland Reserves, Green Buildings, Incineration plant
Study Workshops: Communication, Project Management, Team Management and Presentation
Community Outreach: Green Office Audit
Project Topic: Energy Saving, Waste Management
Registration Fee:
1) SGD150.00 per student/teacher and includes the following
• Registration fee
• Group site visits and venue transfer
• Meals (lunch and dinner)
• Activities, workshops & networking
• Delegate handbook and kit
• Accident insurance
2) SGD350 per student/teacher and includes
• All of above (1)
• 4 nights hotel stay
• One pass to Wild Wild Wet Amusement World
Delegates to check in on 7th September and check out on 11th September.
Terms of Registration
• Registration is confirmed upon receipt of payment
• Cancellation Fee: 50% before 23 August. No refund thereafter
• Registration closes on 10th August 2014.
• Early Bird registration by 23 July receives S$50 shopping voucher
