LEANING ON THE EVERLASTING
What a fellowship, what a joy divine,
Leaning on the everlasting arms!
What a blessedness, what a peace is mine,
Leaning on the everlasting arms!
Leaning, leaning,
Safe and secure from all alarms;
Leaning, leaning,
Leaning on the everlasting arms.
O how sweet to walk in this pilgrim way,
Leaning on the everlasting arms!
O how bright the path grows from day to day,
Leaning on the everlasting arms
TIS SO SWEET TO TRUST IN JESUS
'Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus
Just to take Him at His word
Just to rest upon His promise
Just to know thus saith the Lord
Jesus Jesus how I trust Him
How I've proved Him o'er and o'er
Jesus Jesus precious Jesus
O for grace to trust Him more

MISSIONS
To k yo , J ap an
(TOH-kyoh) - "A new sister in Christ! A new journeyman couple, Michelle and Ryan, have been working in partnership with
an international Baptist church and following up on introductions from other short-term workers who have recently finished
their terms of service and returned to the United States. This
couple shares that Jane is a new believer who wants to learn
how to reach out to other Japanese women. Nan is a friend she
met doing English conversation with Ariel, a former journeyman. As both Jane, Ariel, and now Michelle, spent time with
Nan, more questions were posed and more answers were
found in God's Word. Prayers were sent up, and many prayer
partners were enlisted to intercede for Nan's salvation over a
period of a year. As the Apostle Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 3:6
(NASB): 'I planted, Apollos watered, but God was causing the
growth.' Here in Tokyo, the seed sowing started with a missionary going to the beauty shop where Nan works and then introducing her to Ariel. Then the watering took place as Bible study
and English conversation practice became the time for Nan to
meet with Jane and the other short-term workers. But it was
God who caused that seed to grow into a belief in Jesus and
the acceptance of His gift of salvation. Join our Tokyo Team in
praising the Father for this new sister, and continue to pray as
she is discipled and learns how to live a new life as His child!"
