Unique handmade jewelry, shawls, nativities, baskets, and other gifts from around the world will be for
sale.   Proceeds from the Market will go to support organizations that promote human dignity and
social justice and make a difference in individuals lives.  
Five new organizations will be featured this year Creation of Hope (Haiti), CAM Cabin Crafts (U.S.
Appalachian region), Habitat for Humanity, Mayan Hands (Guatemala), and the Presbyterian Pan
American School.   A description of participating organizations and their products is included
below:
African Team Ministries-  baskets, carvings and jewelry sales that help provide funding for
orphans and refugee relief missions and evangelism in East Africa.Art of Palm Panamanian textiles with
mola motifs designed by Kuna artists in Panama.  Molas are sewn by hand in a reverse
appliqué technique using layers of colored fabrics.  Most of the artists are the sole wage
earners trying to support their families.
CAM Cabin Crafts- quilt hangings, woodcrafts, toys and Christmas ornaments.  The organization is
a project of the Coalition for Appalachian Ministry and provides a welcome source of income for people
in the Appalachian area.
Creations of Hope (Haiti)- colorful metal art sold to create a U.S. market for Haitian hand-made arts and
crafts and to provide funds for the Haitian Womens Micro-Finance project.Equal Exchange- organic,
gourmet coffee and K-cups, fruit and nut bars, chocolate bars and handmade gift wrap sold to guarantee
a fair price for the farmers who belong to small farmer cooperatives in Latin America, Africa, Asia, and
the United States.
Heifer International- gifts of live animals, as well as stuffed animals.  Heifer International provides
livestock and training to families around the world.  Recipients of the animals then pass on the
animals offspring to another family.
Habitat for Humanity (Fredericksburg) -  colorful pins will be offered for sale to benefit a new
Habitat house to be built in Fredericksburg.
Mayan Hands (Guatemala) - baskets, eternity scarves, friendship bracelets, jackets, tablecloths,
placemats, and Christmas items.   Mayan Hands works with more than 200 women
organized into cooperative groups.  These talented weavers produce high quality textiles.
 The weavers can feed their families and send their children to school by earning a fair return for
their work.
Memorial Presbyterian Women- home baked holiday treats.  Proceeds will benefit the students
attending the Cailloux School at the Hill Country Youth Ranch, Ingram, Texas.Pal Craftaid  
Fair Trade olivewood and embroidered crafts made by Palestinian Christians.  The proceeds help
support families, schools, elderly groups and community cooperatives.  
Pal Craftaid is a non-profit ministry of compassion, hope and healing for Palestinians.Partners for Just
Trade (Peru, Cameroon, Egypt)  jewelry, wall hangings, nativity ornaments.  This
organization is a nonprofit that addresses root causes of poverty through fair trade sales, education and
commitment to trade justice.
Presbyterian Pan American School (Kingsville, Texas)  The school is a Christian college preparatory
school that educates young adults for leadership in the global community.  There are 160-175
students from countries such as Mexico, China, South Korea, Rwanda, Costa Rica and the United States.
 A representative will sell arts and crafts made by the students
Rahabs Rope -  jewelry, jewelry bags, scarves and other gift items.  This organization
provides shelter and job training for women and girls of India who have been rescued from sex slavery.
SERRV International- baskets, scarves, childrens musical instruments, jewelry, nativities, and other
unique gifts.  SERRV is a non-profit alternative trade and development organization offering a
variety of fairly traded handcrafts from artisan and farmer partners in 35 countries.
Womens Bean Project (United States)-   soup, chili, cornbread, cookie, and scone mixes
made by women in Denver, Colorado.  Many of the products are gluten free.  Women in
the project learn job readiness and life skills so they can obtain and keep mainstream employment.
