Figurative Abstraction - Guest Artist Brian Smith GENI2500
Feel like your figure paintings are tight and you don’t know how
to loosen up? Well, this workshop is perfect for you. We all get
a little tense painting the human body but working with Brian for
this week will teach you to search out the shapes of the figure,
the organic, simple forms that will allow you to let go and be
more playful. We will work with draped and undraped models in
short and long poses with attention paid to composition, colour
theory and a look at many contemporary figurative abstract
artists’ work. As always, this will be a very supportive group with
positive critiquing at the end of each project.
