The Division of Corporate Relations University of KwaZulu-Natal cordially invites you to a Public Lecture by Justice Edwin Cameron Judge of the Constitutional Court Topic Twenty Years of Constitutionalism and the Rule of Law Prize or Pain Date 18 June 2014 Justice Edwin Cameron Edwin Cameron has been a Justice of South Africa’s highest court, the Constitutional Court, since 1 January 2009. Previously, he was a judge of the Supreme Court of Appeal for eight years, and a judge of the High Court for six. He was educated at Pretoria Boys’ High School, Stellenbosch and as a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford. During apartheid he was a human rights lawyer. President Mandela appointed him a judge in 1994. Time 12h30 to 14h00 He was an outspoken critic of President Mbeki’s AIDS-denialist policies and his prizewinning memoir, Witness to AIDS, has been published in South Africa, the UK, the US and in translation in Germany and in China.
